Figured I'd post these as someone might find them useful. Quotations are for Birmingham to Melbourne (within 30 miles of the centre) and standard access at both ends. John Mason: £2865 (+ optional £15 decontamination insurance) for 650 cu ft, £2470 (+ optional £15) for 510 cu ft. Robinsons: £2880 for 600 cu ft, £2576 for 510 cu ft PSS: £2993 for 600 cu ft, £2588 for 490 cu ft John Mason reckoned 650 cu ft based on a home survey, the other two went for 510 cu ft and 490 cu ft respectively. Quite a difference... Move corp quoted £2795 for 600 cu ft without a home survey. May well look to get one or two more quotations (as much to see what their estimates for required volume are). Will update accordingly.

There will be a partial lunar eclipse on the Australian eastern seaboard and all of New Zealand on 26th of June. Roughly 53% of the moon will be in earth's shadow. The eclipse will be visible as far west as Darwin to Cape Leeuwin, southern WA. It will be visible from 8.17 pm to 11.00 pm eastern standard time. Sorry folks if there are clouds that night...I did ask the Big Bloke...but he can't guarantee it. Got the telescope ready... Cheers, Bobj.

According to a bulletin to MIA members this afternoon the government will acquiesce in a solution to the statutory deposit issue (A$100,000 migration bonds not being available from state treasuries since last November) where a complying bond can be sourced from a state treasury.
