hey fellow nurses, can anyone who is on a 457 visa tell me if they are allowed to do overtime or do the hospitals in perth have the same idea as our in house 'bank' nurses. here in the uk i have a full time job in a medical ward but also work for the the same health board doing bank shifts on a casual basis. its an in house system so i am working for same employer tho under 2 different roles and this one is my 2nd job. i love having the security of being able to do extra shifts if and when i need the money. as i'm going to oz, being sponsored by wa health board to work at rph, i take it i wont be able to do a 2nd casual job? so was wondering if the ward is short, do they ask the reg staff if they want overtime or just fire a request out to an agency? thanks, michelle
Guest posted a topic in Aussie ChatHi all, Well he made it home. Tired and hungry. They did not get offered the option of a break, so worked through. He says the men testing them were really friendly and helpful, so just have to wait and see now, so fingers crossed. I would like to say a big thankyou to everyone who gave him the good wishes and were thinking of him today, he is just glad it is all over. He took a big hammer to his practice roof in the garden and he said it felt good. Good luck to everyone who is still waiting to do the test, and all those who are waiting for results. Take care.
