    WA off-list priority processing

Hello everyone. My first time posting here. Just had a question about priority processing for an off-list application for WA. I called up skilled migration WA and they indicated that if I am successful with the sponsorship then it will receive priority group 3 processing by DIAC. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks

Hi everyone! Would off-list nomination fall into category 2?
  5. Hi we are desperate for the Wa smp, applied with off-list nomination Nov 09. I know Wa had 500 off list spaces and apparently used them all, so where is everyone? Has anyone had any feedback from their agents as to off lists chances? Our agent told us that they are not very confident we will be included :-(((( please has anyone heard anything better? I am really struggling living in limbo land.....
  6. Morning Just wondered if anyone else is state sponsored for an off- list occupation and currently in cat 4 waiting to see what happens. We applied to wa nov 09. Would be good to know we are not alone and get any thoughts on what may happen to us with the smp's . I am hoping we will be included but keep swinging from being positive one minute to feeling numb the next?
  7. Latest news regarding WA SS! "From 9 of March 2010, The State Migration Centre will no longer be able to accept or process sponsorship applications for off-list occupations for the Skilled Sponsored Visa. The Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) allocated 500 off-list places to Western Australia for the 2009/2010 Project Year and this quota has now been met. A quota of off-list places for the 2010/2011 project year is yet to be confirmed." State Migration Centre » Skilled Migration

    'Off-List' 176 Visa

Still tearing my hair out, trying to decide upon the best way into Oz when I chance upon a reference to South Australia (where we want to go) sponsoring people Off-List. Was kinda confused at first (happens a lot) because I wondered why they did not just re-write the list of skills they would be prepared to sponsor, but now I think it is more to do with having a job offer. So basically, even though I have a 60-point skill that is not on their SS list or the MODL, if I had a job offer related to that skill I could get a 176. Does that sound right? Awfully tempting way to do it, especially as the job only has to last 6 months...

    Off-List State Nominations

The Department of Immigration and Citizenship recently announced that each State/Territory Government has been allocated a quota of 500 places per year, to nominate applicants with any occupation on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL) under the General Skilled Migration program. NSW has incorporated off-list nomination places into its Skills in Demand Lists. Applications for visa nomination by NSW will only be accepted for occupations published on these lists.
