  1. In Dymocks today I saw what looked like a really helpful & interesting book Perth Suburbs Guide for Migrants and Newcomers It had really interesting maps showing 'People like us' showing where people of different nationalities settle and maps showing levels of income and education. I'd dived in to get a road atlas so didn't have time for a long browse but I think it would be worth a look when deciding where to settle. I haven't been able to find it online but it was in the travel section, A4 format & prob 200 pages. Jules PS All the poms really are NOR with only Canning Vale SOR having a notable number
  2. Hi There I have been reading this website now for a couple of months and finally decided to bite the bullet and post something !! My husband and I are looking to re locate to Perth, we have 2 children 5 & 6yrs and have just found out we are expecting a 3rd !! We are looking to emigrate for the same common reasons, better quality of family live, better weather etc... My husband is an Systems Engineer and in my former life (before rugrats!) I was a Recruitment Consultant. Hubby is off to Perth in May to start the rounds of meeting with Recruitment companies etc... & to do some research. He has only a week to pack a lot in so any helpful hints would be very much appreciated ! Also on another note our 6yr old son is on the Autistic spectrum. He is mildly Autistic and attends mainstream school. Anyone else in a similar boat ? Thanks for reading my rambling e mail !!!

    New to Sydney...?

Hi guys, I'm a 26 year old writer who moved to Sydney in early January. I spent the first couple of months here living in a (surprisingly fun) cockroach-invested doss-house, manically searching for a job that I love... that would lead me away from the doss-house and back into Sydney's cool social scene..... Well, I'm still looking for this scene!!!! As I've had my eyes glued to my computer for the past few months my social life has taking a big HIT! But also, when I do go out, I think I'm just heading to the wrong places... places where it only seems appropriate to flex your muscles and flick your hair (is this some form of communication in Sydney?!!) I guess what I'm looking for is some cool (down-to-earth) places and some cool (down-to-earth) people to hang out with... Is anyone in the same boat? I live in Rushcutters Bay – which is a great place – and I'm positive there's a very fun city surrounding me ready to be discovered! Tracy
