I do not have Setanta so need to find somewhere to watch the 6 nations. I would like to avoid the Sports Bar in the Cross or similar foul places (Irish bars included) Does anyone know somewhere decent to watch the games?

Hi I'm heading to Perth in just over a weeks time(Wahoo!). The 6 Nations Rugby is on over the next two months and I defo would like to be in the pub for it as thats when I really will start to miss my mates back home. I was in Sydney a few years ago and watching those games was never a problem as there are so many 24hr bars in Sydney. I've heard that most pubs close at midnight in Perth, is that right? Does anybody know of a late night sports bar around the city? Thanks K :v_SPIN:

Hey Poms. My girlfriend and I think we have finally found somewhere in Melbourne showing the 6 Nations Rugby- 'The Charles Dickens Tavern', 290 Collins Street. Kick off for England V Italy is 2am tonight (Sunday morning). If anyone fancies joining us for a late night dissection of the awful state of English rugby, give me a yell!

I always knew that people are happy here even when the media says we are not...:cute: the New Economics Foundation (NeF), found UK residents were among the sixth happiest nations. The 2007-08 Citizenship Survey - a robust, nationally representative household survey - found that 94% of young people say they feel part of British society. Under the skin Brits are a happy nation with a great sense of humour which is unique to the British Isles and not really grasped by many of it’s European neighbours the report stated.

hello everyone, well i am just waiting for my case officer to finalise my visa application - fingers crossed it should happen soon. i was going to post a question on here asking people who had already made the move how easy it was to watch things like the 6 nations back at home... however - turned on the BBC today and they are putting every match onto their I Player thing online - brilliant! let's hope they keep doing it. anyway - the whole point of this ramble was to let you all know that if you're not up for staying up late - or you can't watch it there - then you no longer have to miss it thanks to the wonders of the web! See you all soon Adam (here's hoping for a large score against the welsh this arvo!)
