Hi, My partner and I are due to have a baby in November (v.excited) and we were granted PR in February 2019, having been here for 4.5 years. We have recently discovered that there is a waiting period for getting child subsidies such as paternity pay (2 years from date of getting PR). One of our friends suggested there is a clause though if you have a child in Aus when parents have PR, as the child is then a Australian citizen from birth and therefore classed as an Australian dependant. Does anyone one know anything about this and where can I find this clause information online, really hoping we can still can get some support from the government. Thanks in advanced. Ben

Hi my husband (main applicant) myself and 2 children aged 1 and 2 have just been granted our 190 visa. We have also just found out we are expecting our 3rd child in july which will be born in NSW. After extentsive research it appears that we will only qualify for family tax benifit B due to the new NARWP. As i will be unable to work initially and will be relying on my husband to support all 5 of us, is there any other help we can get? I am currently working in uk so if we stay and decide to have baby here we will qualify for mat leave etc, but that route is costly and more time consuming right? My husband and I lived in NSW for 5 years on work sponsored visas we only came back to the uk 3 years ago. Pleasecan you help
