I want to find some information about hiring a full time qualified nanny to take care of our two kids at home. We have tried to get info on the internet but most of the agencies want us to sign up first and then give you information after... what I would really like is to find how much it would cost full time, insurance needed, if I have to pay pension ~ super contributions, how do I find one? how it works and if any of you had any experience with a nanny... what was it like? Can you recommend someone? have to be experienced and fully qualified with references.... Any advice is very much appreciated, regards Jessica

Hi all, We are an irish family with two girls aged 2 & 4 and are looking for a nanny full time. Transport would be essential as we are a decent walk from the train station. Ideally we would like the girls minded in their own home but if there is a stay at home mum with her own children out there that would be great as the girls are really sociable. Pm us if you are interested. Sally Anne and Colman.

Dear all, My wife and I are moving to Brisbane in June 2011 on a 175 visa, which has already been granted. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a visa to bring a live-in nanny with us? What options are available? Any advice would be much appreciated! Kind regards Tom

Hi, We are looking for an experienced nanny in Perth, preferably someone who'll live in. It is a wonderful role for someone and they'll really like the kids I hope. We are not having much luck with agencies, or advertising on gumtree (I put an advert up and no one seems to email me back so it never gets posted). The agencies seem small outfits and we have had trouble gettting calls returned. If anyone can recommended someone, it would be so helpful. As ever, we have short timescales...hence a little urgency about it all.

Last December after being out on the razzel dazzel in Perth I was a bit worse for wear when a friendly copper stopped the car and booked me for not wearing a seatbelt in the back of the car ( at the time I thought he was just bored and taking the piss ) Apparently not, the paper trail has just caught up ( Ive changed adress a couple of times ) $ 600 fine and a suspended licence I ve also just bought a push bike to get to the pub and back and apparently you also get fined for not wearing a safety hat ( theres somthing else too look forward too ) WA airy fairy nanny state

Sorry if this has been asked before..... but My mum is going to be sending some new clothes over for the kids, probably about £100 each, should she cut out the labels, or just the price tags, really don't want to be paying duty on them. Thanks people KP Nuts

Hi, We've been in Oz a year now on a temp visa sponsored with my hubby's work. I have three boys aged 2,4,7. Because my husband works full time it makes finding work for myself quite difficult, no evening work outside of the city. I have been a full time mum for the last 4 years and the thought of heading out to the office again is quite daunting, I've done nothing but take care of my children and home the last 4 years, what could I do now. I love being at home with my children but yet feel a bit scared that I have no career plan for when they're all at school. So i sat down and thought what can I do? I would love to be a kindy teacher but that would mean day school something I can't do right now. Childminding from home? concerned how my children would feel with having to share mummy. So I thought, a nanny, ideal. I know how worrying it is to leave your kids with a young teenager, or an agency where your not sure if you get the same person each time. I would want someone who experienced and someone my kids would feel comfortable with and able to help in the home. So if any of you are interested in hiring a nanny for evenings, please don't hesitate to contact me, I live in the Mount Eliza area and would be willing to travel no more than 20 mins drive. Thanks Suey
