    Mordialloc area

Hi all We have just been staying in Black Rock in Melbourne to validate our 176 visa. We are now looking at potential areas to move to with our 4 and 7 year year old children. Can anyone advise on the area of Mordialloc ? Is it a nice safe area to bring up children? Also does anyone have any info on any good primary schools in the area? Cheers in advance Andy
  2. Hi all, I've posted a couple of posts now and had a really helpful response. I thank you all for that. We have been looking at a few places to rent in and around Melbourne and have been told that Mordialloc is a really nice place to live with great transport links, near the beach and a great atmosphere. can anyone add to that please? We have $500-$650 for rental per week, a 2 year old boy and I will work in the CBD... Any info would be great. Thanks again, Tony
  3. Hi - my husband has hopefully secured us a house to rent in Mordialloc. Can anybody recommend any schools in the area. My children are 6, 8 and 10. Many thanks

So we are moving up the Frankston line and the next Station is Mordialloc. There is quite a good shopping centre at Mordialloc and there is the Mordialloc Creek. Good pub meals are available at the local pub if you can get parked as its very very popular. Doyles Bridge hotel Mordialloc has a beach side and a non beach side to the suburb and the prices are reflected in this. There is also a lot of industry and commercial activity in the suburb. A nice estate has been built on the old Racecourse and there are very nice new houses there. Non beach side. A good swimming pool which I used to go to. White Street is a major thoroughfare so would think twice about looking at property on it. Its an ordinary suburb and very settled as are all of these suburbs I have mentioned. They are very popular with people who do not move a lot. Also the traffic is a little better as the sea being on one side means we only have to contend with half the traffic of other inner suburbs where there is no sea. The beach side is the lovely bit now all the way up to the city and I will go into these suburbs as we go up the Frankston line. There is a lot of graffiti about at the moment seems to be getting worse but it comes and goes. Maybe the paint is on special at the moment.
