  4. Years ago I did a joint degree in Accounting and Modern History (Joint degree Bsc/BA). I have started to consider using it for migrating. I studied for 3 years and the history part was therefore for 1.5 years. I did study history at the highest level possible in the degree with a dissertation but Im thinking that 1.5 years study is effectively a Diploma and I couldnt migrate as "historian" in the skilled program because I havent got 3 years history study. I have emailed Vetassess about it but heard nothing back. Does anyone have an idea of whether I could say I was a trained historian?

My daughter is currently in year 8 and will be sitting the GATE [gifted & talented education] test this year. I am hopeful for her to get into Perth Modern School but seeing as we weren't here for yr 8 selections is there still a big chance for her to get in perth modern in year nine? any info would be deeply appreciated. xo Arti.

  8. Hi If anyone wants a modern house with a pool in Narangba's Creekside then ring Ideal real estate in Burpengary. Hurry as its not on the internet yet. 38881249 is the number to ring. If you have a dog then he is a bit dubious about having one inside so if i were you i wouldnt even mention a dog. You can always say you are dog sitting or something and the owner wont be in Brisbane as he is moving to Mackay. Its on for $500 per week and its got 4 or 5 beds (cant remember for sure) It is next to shops and schools and is a nice area. 10 mins to Bruce Highway. Hope it helps someone Georgie
  9. Hey guys, I know I may sound like an oldie but wow we used our web cam for the first time last night to speak to the family back in the UK. Thank you SKYPE for making it free, its a wonderful thing when you are thousands of miles away from loved ones. It was fantastic to see everyone looking well, and being happy without us!!!!! can't believe they can manage without us so well after all the should we shouldn't we go feelings - the reality is that they cope really well without you. The nieces did their best dancing mmmm wonder who they inherited those moves off and we spoke to my Mum who was as amazed as me. Thank god for telephones, email and webcams it makes being here so much easier I can tell you and as long as you can keep in contact with people, and yes you will do alot of the contact, then you will get through the bad days and it will turn them back into good days. It's a small world these days eh!!!!!
  10. Hello, My husband and I are in the final stages of planning a move to Asia and we would like to rent our house to an expat moving to Melbourne for 1-2 years. It is a very modern 3 bedroom house in the suburb of Northcote, a vibrant, sought after suburb by young families & young singles & couples, just 15 mins from the city with public transport close by. The house has a large bright open plan living area has both ducted heating & air conditioning, with bi fold doors leading to a deck and landscaped garden. The master bedroom has built in robes & en suite. Photos can be provide upon request to interested parties. We are prepared to leave a large majority of our furniture behind but only if the prospective tenants treat the place with respect as it is our home that we love. Ideal tenants would be working professionals or a small young family. The property will potentially be available from mid February 08. Proposed rent will be in line with the market for the area. If anyone is interested please let me know and we can make further arrangements. Cheers, Murphme
