Hi Howe are hoping to move to Melbourne and I have been trying to research ares based on decent state / public high schools. Berwick seems to be my favourite so far, so any opinions on that will be greatly received. PI have also been looking closer to the coast and Mentone sounds nice but as I have daughter (10) and a son (7) I seem to be struggling to find a mixed state school. Does anyone know of one accessible to those living in Mentone? Thanks
Hi - Finally we have a house in the Mentone area. Husband is moving in next week and we will be coming over end of November. I'm looking at Mentone Primary School, Mentone Park Primary School. Am also interested in information on St Patricks school in Mentone but can't seem to access their website. Any advice information would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Mentone is the next station going to the city on the Frankston line next to Parkdale, its a very nice suburb and the beach side once again is the preferred place to live and more expensive because of its situation. There is nice strip shopping in Mentone and everything you want. There are quite a few nice restaurants at Mentone and Parkdale. Kilbreda Catholic Girls College is very close to the station in Mentone. Mentone on the other side of the Highway is ok but if you were to live that side you would need to check to see if the property was in the airport zone for Moorabbin airport. This will be because of noise etc. from the airport which is a busy one. No big jets though. For the golfers there are a few good golf courses around, the beach is nice the areas around Mentone such as Beaumaris, Black Rock are lovely areas.
