  1. Hi, I'm a 22 year old male looking for like-minded people to meet up with to go for lunch, explore Melbourne and see live music I moved over from England in 2011 and looking to make new friends and see all that Melbourne has to offer, not having seen a lot of it in the 4 1/2 years I've lived here. If anyone's got any suggestions for meet up groups, clubs or is interested in meeting up, let me know!

  9. Hello there I live in Bulimba, QLD, with my husband and two girls (3 and 7). I work full time so find it hard to meet people, even mums in the playground since I'm on the run doing the school run! Would love to meet up with/ without kids for a glass of wine and a good ol' natter. I've been promising myself to exercise so a gym/ jog buddy would be good too (I'm by no means super fit, my current exercise includes walking to and from the fridge  and I shuffled through the bridge to brisbane). ooh posting this wasn't too bad after all! claire

I'm 35, don't work, and now my youngest is at school I find myself talking to my dog for company! I live in Maudsland (Park Lake), just behind Pacific Pines, so please pm me if you are free and would like to have a coffee.

  19. I'm just floating this idea for now, to see what reception it gets..... Please read ALL of the following (don't switch off after the first sentence!) Would anyone be interested in forming a beach volleyball team at Cranbourne Leisure Centre? I take my daughter to play netball there on a Wednesday night and have to walk past the 4 indoor courts they have there. Don't worry, you do NOT need any sort of sporting ability - no wishing to sound rude here but many of the people playing are as well toned as I am (and that's saying a lot, trust me!!!!). From what little I have seen it seems to involve you standing there squidging your toes in the sand watch the ball fly past and every time it comes close to you, you swing your arm at it! I just thought it might be a laugh and have a get together on a weekly bonus. Oh and did I mention that there is a bar in between the courts? Told you it was worth reading this to the end! Anyway I'm just curious as to what others may think, let me know... Geoff 'Doesn't have a six pack - it's more like a party pack.'

Hi - I'm moving to Sydney

Hi Everyone! The other half and I are moving to Sydney in late March/early April so I've joined this forum to get an idea of what life will be like for me down under and pick up some tips on coordinating the move, job-hunting etc. Whilst I've visited Sydney once on holiday last year I don't really know anyone there so I'm looking forward to meet ups. I gather there's one on Thursday's in the CBD. Anyway just wanted to say Hi and introduce myself. Tiffany
  24. My husband flew out to Sydney a month ago and the rest of us are flying this Wednesday 17th! We're planning to live in Mount Colah, North Sydney. Are there any families around that fancy emailing or meeting up for a coffee and chat? We are me (37), hubby (34) and two daughters (17 and 5). I think the reality is really kicking in and I would love some people to share experiences with. Nat, Jon, Rachel and Maddie.
