    What to do with medicines!

Hi, Is it best to take medicines on the aircraft or have the packers pack them? Obviously we'll take what we need on the plane but what about the rest? We don't have much but we have stocked up on a few key items like ventolin inhalers, strongish painkillers, cold sore cream, ezcema treament lotion etc? Any thoughts/experiences? Thanks, Nats
  2. Hi, Not sure i've ever seen this asked before? I've got a few prescription medicines that i take as and when required, nothing serious but it got me thinking about the medicine cabinet, there is nothing sinister in there but just wondered if they would be allowed past customs? Don't fancy having to replenish the lot after arrival if i can help it! Cheers
  3. Dear All, Does anyone have any experience of taking non-restricted non-prohibited prescription medicines in to Australia? You are supposed to take an accompanying prescription but does anyone know whether this has to be an original prescription or will a photocopy do? Many thanks. Simon.
  4. We are flying Emirates via Dubai to Melbourne. I desperately want to take some Calpol for the kids as i know if i don't they will need it... Went to the doctors today armed with the printed off list from here of what medicines not to take to Dubai and he rekons you can take Calpol. He gave me 80mls and now i am panicking that i can only have 100mls of liquid and this was mostly makeup! (I know - I have lost the plot!!) He would not do me a covering letter either:realmad: There is no way i am taking the Calpol and risking anything... Can anyone help? From the paranoid one :elvis:

    Prescription Medicines

Hi Could anyone advise please, just wondered if you are allowed to take in prescription medication in your luggage when you fly out to Perth to migrate. We have always taken a medicine bag with us when we have gone on holiday, but migrating i wanted to take medicines like inhalers and antihistimines, which are normally from the GP, with me to ensure i have enough until we are settled and registered with a doctor. Thanks Mand
  7. Hello, can anyone tell me how I will go about prescription medicines in perth for my 6 yr old. (Inhalers and antihistamines and adrenaline injections-epipens). Obviously I will have to go to the doctors but I am unsure how the process works. Do you have to pay for taking children to the doctors once you have joined medicare? and do you have to pay for childrens prescription medicines? many thanks, Bramble.:nah:
  8. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this. My son and I need regular inhalers for asthma. I understand that these can be bought over the counter - can anyone tell me how much they cost please? Thanks, Spock.
