    Bringing medications to Aus

I bought 5 months supply of Mercilon (Birth Control Pills) as they are cheaper here I think, and I don't want to miss any pills in case anything happens. We don't need a prescription to get BCP here in Malaysia, but wondering if I would get into trouble while entering Aus? Since they are quite strict with medications and whatnots And also a couple of antihistamines (dust allergy) and panadols!

    Medications and visa application

Hi all I am going through the skilled visa route with my wife and daughter and 1 issue is concerning me. My wife has suffered from anxiety other the past 4-5 years and is taking anti-anxiety medication, Citralipram. She has cut own the size of dose but doesnt feel she can cut out completely. Would this fact have any effect on the actual application if she is still needeing medication? If anybody has any information it would be appreciated. Craig.
  3. I was hoping to get my parents to post out some antihistamines from the UK as they are LOADS cheaper and three of us get hayfever. The cost from Tesco's is £2.04 for 30 tablets compared to $20+ for 30 here. Does anyone know whether they can be packed in a parcel with other stuff such as books and chocolates? We are getting it delivered via courier and have been told no drugs in box. We have had friends bring back boxes from the UK in their hold luggage before and not had any problems. Any advice gratefully received as parcel being picked up on Friday! Thanks Karen

    Cost of Medications

Hi, I wonder if anyone can offer some advice, my parents emmigrated at the tail end of last year on a contributory Parent Visa, they both have medical conditions, one of which means that a particular medicine is costing $100 per month!, they only have state pensions from the UK plus small government pensions, basically they are struggling financially, the x rate is not helping obviously! (when will they sort this out!), can anyone offer some advice on getting a reduction in cost of medications.? Thanks
  5. Hullo there. I thought Id ask you if it is possible for me to take on eczema creams for my daughter on the plane and inhalers for me. I have a printed out repeat prescription form itemising what medication she and I need to have to hand. Whats the latest information about this? I do understand that there is some kind of restriction concerning the amount of lotion allowed, I believe it was 50ml during the scare. Can anyone enlighten me with information in regards to this matter? Ta. Daisydeeds
