is there any construction site managers out there that can give me some advice on what i need to do in perth to be able to become a site manager. we are moving to perth on 18th september i am a capenter of eight years and have just finshed a two year HNC in construction management coarse, in the UK. Does anybody know if this qualification is recognised by australian employers? i have been reading the australian building regs ect and they are understandably different to ours, wondering as i have no experience and the regs are different i might need to study further? Hi All, We are just starting out on what looks to be a very long but exciting journey down under. We have just had an initial consultation with a migration agency (Working In Visas) who have advised us that our best options are Employer sponsored or State Sponsored visas (pending the State sponsorship lists). They have also advised that in the mean time we can get temporary visas to get us over there sooner. I have a business and finance degree with 8 years experience in Media Sales and Sales Management currently working as an advertising manager in regional press and my other half has about 12 years experience in Account Management and Business Development management in Media and Telecomms. I am keen to either continue in Media Sales/ Management (I appreciate I might need to come down a level and work my way back up) or potentially would be very interested in Recruitment Consultancy, which I did a small amount of after University and requires very similar skills to my current and previous roles. Does anyone on here have any contacts or know of any companies who may be willing to sponsor me (or my OH) in this kind of role? Just to say thanks in advance to everyone that posts on this great website. I have already found much of it very useful and know that over the coming months (and years? :-() I will be on here rather a lot soaking up all your expertise and hopefully sharing some of our experiences! :wubclub: -
Hi, I am a project manager/business analyst for a major UK bank and have been for the last 6 years. My family and I have just started the visa application process and hope to get a skilled independent regional visa if a sponsorship is not forthcoming. My project management experience lies within the retail sector and specifically cutting edge of major bank initiatives. If our visa application is successful we hope to to move to the Brisbane area. Has anyone else in a similar role been successful in securing sponsorship OR can you comment on job availabilty in this field? Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you. Ben
