I understand there are restrictions on importing knives and wooden items into Australia. I therefore wanted to know if it is ok to include our set of kitchen chopping knives, Cheeseboards and used Pots in a shipment of our belongings. We have a couple of good Kitchen knife sets and I would like to bring these with us. Anyone had any involvement or issues with such items? Thanks Tomski
Just read an article where it says children as young as 7 are taking knives to school in the UK. What's the world coming to, it looks like having your head pushed down the loo or being rolled down the banking is no more. I can remember before we left for OZ my son had a knife held to his throat on the bus home from school, it was a joke (not in my eyes) but what would have happened if the bus had slammed on. There use to be a time where a fight was fists and maybe heads, now it's guns and knives:no:
OK....so what about bringing knives into Oz? I've got quite a few. Some are for sport like my diving knife and some I've just collected. They range from pocket knives to a large Bowie knife (think Crocodile Dundee). Do I need to "rehome" my knives like the pets?
