Hi guys i'm a fully qualified domestic and commercial plumber/gas engineer. I lived and worked in oz 5 years ago but am back in the uk now. I have used the one working visa that is allocated to us but would really love to return to work again. I have been looking on recruitment sites and there seems to be a high demand for this trade out there. Iv emailed a few company's but don't seem to get many replies. Can anybody recomend any sites or people that would be able to help me out in this situation?? thanks

Hi, My husband and I( with our daughter) have been trying to move to Oz for the last year or so but unfortunately it is so difficult since he is 45 years old and cannot get a visa he has to be sponsored, He is a fantastic Carpenter he is always on the ball, we had a company also and he has 25 years experience but he hasn't been in work for over 2 years here. We would like to know if anyone has an idea if it would be too hard to get a 457 visa over his age or because he is a carpenter? also if anyone has a near estimate of how much would be need to get over please let me know. Greatly appreciated Kirsty.

Environmental, Conservation & Ecology jobs in Tasmania? Childcare Options?
Guest posted a topic in Tasmania
Hello I am a complete newbie to this site but I am really hoping that someone out there may be able to point me in the right direction. My partner is in the process of applying for a job in Hobart which is great....for him. I however am having doubts about moving out there after spending a few hours searching for jobs in my field of conservation & ecology and seemingly hitting a dead end. I am hoping that I am just looking in the wrong places - does anyone know of a good site or two where I can perhaps find work? His job would be based in Hobart so anything in and around there would be good..... Also, what do the locals usually do for childcare out there? We have a young daughter (15 months) who we currently place in nursery two days a week and I wonder if we would have the same options there? Is it expensive? I sincerely hope someone can help as it doesn't seem too hopeful at the moment! Thanks- 3 replies
