We are heading out to Cairns next week for three reasons, for the little one to meet his Aussie Grandparents, to go to my sister-in-law's wedding and to do our final reccie to decide whether we're going to aim for a move to Cairns Sept 2015. We've gone for a much longer journey time (42hours door to door) to save ourselves £1000 so looking for any advice as to traveling with and entertaining such a little one. He's a pretty chilled out boy normally so we're hoping we all arrive with our sanity intacted. Also any tips for helping him with jetlag would be appreciated.child

Hi, I will be flying to Perth January 2013 and plan on staying in Hong Kong for a few days for 2 reasons. My Dad used to live there as a boy so I've always wanted to go there and plus it will hopefully cushion the blow from the Jetlag. Firstly has anybody out there stayed in Hong Kong and is there any advice you can offer me? Also can anybody tell me about the Jetlag? Cheers, Ian.

So I've got a work thing coming up soon, land in London at 6am on the Friday, then fly back out lunch time on the Monday 10 days later... I've not done the journey that way before, have only flown UK-Oz. When we got here I felt sleepy late afternoon and would end up zonking out from about 6pm to 12am then being awake, trying to go back to sleep and waking up at 5am... What can I expect going back the other way? And any tips to cope with this so I'm not completely screwed up when I get (a) to London and then (b) back to Sydders? Merci.

Hey everyone, Just wanted to know how bad jetlag was going east to west, (Uk -Singapore - Brisbane)? OH has been told horror stories that it takes 10 days:eek: to recover and is there any best tips to do to recover from or avoid it? Thanks for any help/advice offered.

Hi there - my sister in law is travelling for the first time with her 9 month old son from Adelaide to the UK. She is a bit concerned about him (and the rest of the plane generally:arghh:) - does anyone have any tips on 1) surviving the flight and 2) time zone changes and changes to his routine? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Hi all, Well its nearly here. Our reckie to Melbourne and the Gold Coast starts on Wednesday:yes: As the title suggests I am looking for tips for jetlag, I realise we are gonna get it no matter what I do, but is there anything that will lessen the blow so to speak? I have heard its not as bad going as coming back to UK, anyone heard that before. Any tips will be greatly appreciated. Also any tips on getting kids into the Australian 10 hours ahead timeframe.
