  3. Hi guys, I work for Tourism Western Australia in London. We're helping Daybreak (the new GMTV which goes out every morning on ITV) do a live broadcast from Cottesloe beach on Friday 11th November and wanted to invite all Brits living in Perth to come down for the filming. The theme for the live link is Perth’s large British expat community and the city's awesome outdoor lifestyle. As part of this Daybreak wants to create a beach party atmosphere and attract British expats living in Perth to come down and take part in the filming. Filming will take place between 1pm – 4pm. If you'd like to be involved or want to know more please contact me. Thanks! Elen

    9/11 on itv last night

Did anyone see that programme on 9/11 last night which was on itv? I still cannot believe when watching it now that it happened and it still shocks me to see those poor people jumping from the tower's  and seeing those planes slamming into the buildings it is as shocking now as it was then in my opinion. I remember that day me and my buddy were up on a scaffold when it came on the radio that a light aircraft had crashed into the world trade centre and we both made a bit of a joke of it saying something along the lines of he must be a sh7t pilot if he didnt see that, anyway as the story moved on we quickly realised that it was obviously something far more sinister and went home to watch it on the tv, and as far as i remember i sat and watched it all night as it was compulsive viewing which sounds a bit sick but thats how it was. Anyway just thought i would ask if you had seen it?

BBC and all ITV channels !

Not quite sure if im posting this in the right place  I have recently come across a product that is exactly like your normal free view box in the U.K. It's all live English channels on your tv, but uses the internet connection which is plugged in at the back of the box. You can view up to 7 days missed TV and watch live TV, also function to pause rewind and record. Theres a subscription of 19.99 euros a month and a price for the box, im trying to find out the price of the box?? The company name is TV demon, if anyone wants the info then PM me and ill give you the info i have, or if anyone has used this box and knows the price then also let me know please. Regards Aaron

Can you watch ITV channel online?

Hi guys, Ive just returned from Ireland and got hooked on the x factor, ive tried to watch it on the itv site but it says you have to be in the UK to view it, also tried youtube but no full episodes are uploaded. So im hoping someone can let me know if there is a way to watch itv online while here in oz? I really need my xfactor hit! BTW had a great time at home, was there for 6 weeks, weather was fab and it was great to be with my family. God i wish Australia wasnt so far away
  12. No idea if this will be of interest to anyone, but tonight at 7pm ITV 1 there is Steven Tompinksons Australian Balloon Adventure. I HOPE that it shows the real Australia without the glamorous and never ending pontificating that often goes along with these shows. Hopefully it will give you the chance to see Australia without house prices, never rains, etc. As much as I love Australia I do find it infuriating at times about certain programming. Hopefully it will concentrate on the vast country and the 'real' people and places that make Australia unique. Cheers Tony.

G-Day Everyone, Can anyone tell me if they know how to watch ITV on the internet here in Australia, the only reason I ask is that Southampton FC are playing Portsmouth FC on Sat 13 Feb 10 and being a Saints Fan I can't miss this for the world, if I was rich I would be booking flight back to the UK for 24 hours just to watch this game? Any advice would be appreciated. Regards Matt :spinny: SAINTS FAN FOREVER

  20. Dear Poms I am cheekily posting a note on this site from grey old London as I want to speak/meet any Brits now living in Australia who might tell us what it has been like making the big move and how life is now/compared to back in UK. The reason is we have ITV interested (don't get too excited, they have not given us the money.. yet) in a new drama series idea about a group of British friends who all decide to up sticks and move to Australia. So a sort of modern Auf Wiedersehen Pet, but this time everyone does different jobs, and some bring families with them. We have a top screenwriter writing a script (he created Wild At Heart and co-created Life On Mars) who is also coming to Melbourne in October and in order for the show to be as truthful and entertaining as possible, we would love to talk to anyone who has emigrated, and could share some of their hilarious or horror stories of their experiences. As I say, early days as we are only at the writing stage, not the making stage, of the show, but hopefully if we write a good script then ITV will say yes and we will be making a long running hit TV series to be shown in the UK and Australia, all about people like you. So if you fancy dropping me an email, or fancy a coffee with my writer when he comes to Melbourne (if you live there/near there) that we would be hugely grateful for all and any help! Many thanks in advance.
