  1. HELLO everyone I got my second assessment outcome for the hope to be invited for 190 NSW for the occupation electronic instrument trades worker (general) 342314 on 6th march and submitted an eoi for nsw 190 visa. my previous assessment was electronic instrument trades worker (special class) 342315 that wasn't on the NSW list. I am claiming 60+5 points, (having pte academic +65 score). this is about 2 weeks I am waiting to be invited for nsw but a little I am disappointed !!! do you think I should try for pte academic +79 that is somehow difficult for me or wait for more? how likely am I going to be invited? is there anyone with the same occupation and points? thanks
  2. Hi everyone, Could you inform me, (and the community in who may read this thread in the future)in regards to: Inviting someone to Australia As of 2022 Could you please answer these questions, that could help me, or others in the future too. the examples are to illustrate case situations that may fall in these criteria, you may be in that situation or not, not all examples are pertaining to me personally but rather to emphasize the requirements, given how obtuse such answers are to enquire. #1 What is the minimum employment status towards inviting someone to Australia: - Example: John has been working for 3 weeks and has only one pay slip but has accommodation, Sarah has been working for 3 months and has multiple pay slips but has no accommodation, Chris is listed as casual, and is recieving part payments from Centrelink and has accommodation family, Lastly Tom is unemployed but can provide some financial assistance with accommodation while on Centrelink, but is not working as of now. - #2 Does the visitor require mandatory travel health insurance if they visit? #3 Does the visitor require funds before traveling over sea's? #4 Does the recipient from whom they invite require all documents provided via their respective channel, need to have all documents statutorily signed by a public official (bases on documents) - Example: bank statement from it's respective source/government/Centrelink/payslip, bankruptcy in the unlikely event, compound interests, pertaining towards proof of support. - #5 When and when not(basis of pandemic or not) do you notify immigration of immediate changes: - Example: Andrew's wife was married outside of Australia but decided to inform the immigration in that respective country, due to the nature of unforseen circumstances that had created them to live single lives, they then decided to remove financial burden in their respective countries given the situation was out of their control, until they were able to do so on arrival in Australia. Ben was living in Thailand or Philippines, or any region in Asia for two years, and found work while unable to return to Australia, could a family member invite Ben back to Australia if he was a British born citizen, or countries that have joint sovereignty to Australia like New Zealand being one example, should Ben notify the embassy, or contact Australian immigration immediately to update changes. - #6 What constitutes a business for a visitor to visit Australia: - Example: Lou worked for the family business, but earned nothing from it until he's older sister found work, given Lou was not employed, and the business name was in Lou's sister's name, but Lou's older sister decided to give Lou the online business due to her finding employment; does Lou's new found business in these respective countries: Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia allow Lou to apply for a 600 series visa even tho Lou has no property but is earning a income. - #7 Does each state enforce immigration more differently then other states of Australia: - Example: overseas visitor to Perth Vs over sea's visitor to Sydney (pre-pandemic and current pandemic) would the outcome be more stringent or more lenient. - #8 If at such circumstances the visitor isn't able to travel to the respective state in Australia, can another family member invite them? - Example: Harry's younger sister lives in Mexico, but wishes to visit family in Sydney, but cannot because harry has only invited he's sister to Perth and only Perth, could Harry's sister stil travel from Perth to Sydney and leave sydney back to Mexico, if that person in sydney who stil is a family member but could not for-fill the requirements pertaining to work, or accommodation that Harry could still be able to meet the requirements in a different way. -
  3. Hi everyone, dealing with a Qld 190 state nomination... so pleased to get an invite but have 14 days to submit any extra required documentation.. including QCT (teaching certificate ADDITIONAL) to skills assessment which might take 4-6weeks! does anyone know if your EOI case officer has the authority to ‘hold’ your application open whilst you await a document? We asked for extension and got a week.. just wondering if they have much say over what happens to invitations/pending applications?! Also if anyone has experienced this and has recently had their QCT from overseas, how long did it take... thanks in advance jack

  8. Hello everyone, my certificate of experience is issued from governmental body & I had it authenticated by ministry of state & the Australian embassy here in Egypt. Would that be enough evidence for the case officer? I'm asking this because I can't get any other evidence of experience.

    Mistakes in EOI

Hi everyone, I have received visa invitation for SC 189. But I realized, after invitation is received, that there are following 2 mistakes in my EOI: 1. Country of birth is mentioned incorrect. 2. Starting date of employment is mentioned incorrect (This employment is partly claimed and luckily points for this part are not claimed). Unfortunately, this was my last chance to get an invitation because after that round my age points are reduced. Now the question is, how should I proceed for Visa Application? Should I correct both mistakes while submitting Visa Application? Both mistakes do not affect my points.
  10. I am currently on a 485 visa that is due to expire on the 11th of May. Once I finish my SMIPA course on the 10th of April, I will have the additional 5 points to qualify for the 60 points benchmark. I am worried that my invitation will not come in time before my current visa expires. Can anyone give me some advise? I will be using accounting as nominated occupation. I believe I can only wait for 2 invitation round (24 April and 8 May) before my current visa expires.

    Invitation from South Australia

I engaged a registered migration agent to apply 190 visa. According to him, the South Australia nomination has been approved and have received an invitation to apply visa. I asked him to send me the 'approval letter' for my record. Then, he explained to me that "there isn't actually an approval letter. the approval is noted in the EOI. South Australia basically access the EOI, indicates their nomination and that generates the invitation to apply". I'm not really sure how the EOI works. Is there any invitation or letter that I could keep for my record? I'm just being paranoid with the past experience that I had about scamming.
  12. Hi everyone, I am facing a small technical issue with the EOI that I submitted. I remember being asked about my identity document type (birth certificate, passport, etc), document number, expiry date, date of issue, etc, at the time I was completing the EOI process. But I have received a new passport which obviously has a new number. I need to update the EOI. But, after pressing the Update button, I cannot find the old passport information. None of the 12/13 pages that are presented to me one by one has the old passport info. Anyone, please confirm whether you can see the passport number and expiry date if you press on the Update EOI button. Thanks.
  13. My application for state nomination is just approved. I certainly know, I will have to wait invitation from EOI to apply for the Visa now. So can anybody please suggest how long it will take to get EOI invitation after having state nomination ? Does it go to the same frame as the process of 189 or in different way ?
  14. Hello , while lodging my 190 application , I have noted following 2 typo in my EOI, against which I have received invitation of apply. Non AQF Major/ post Bachelor Educational qualification – Date of finishing the course was mentioned wrongly, instead of 16-March-1998 , I mentioned 6-March-1997. However I also have Bachelor’s degree for which I have claimed 15 points, so hopefully this typo isn’t significant. My ACS assessment says my experience after “November 2009” is suitable for migration purpose. I have claimed experience from 1-Nov-2009, instead of probably 1-Dec-2009. (Still thinking which one I should write?) Even with 1-Dec-2009, I have in excess of 3.5 years of relevant skilled experience (ACS assessed) till the date, I have received invitation to apply. So this error of 1 month doesn’t change my points for experience at all. What can be solution for the above errors when I lodge my visa? Should I be correcting these details while I enter them in my Visa application as my points remains same and do not change , but the above 2 fields may be different than my EOI lodged ? or Should I be enter this as per EOI lodged only? Is there any other way like lodging correction form 1023 (Can that be used for EOI corrections?) Many thanks in advance.
  15. Hi All, My girlfriend and I are currently on a Working Holiday Visa. This is ending on 8 December. Last week, we submitted an EOI for a family nominated Regional sponsored visa (489). We have enough points, and she had applied for her skills test 12 weeks ago so in the EOI we inputted the ref no we got from the accreditation board and the date that we applied for the skills assessment. We got the invitation last Sunday, and have been waiting anxiously for the skills assessment to be completed so we could go ahead with our application. We received the E-mail from the accreditation board today stating the skills assessment was complete. SUCCESS! Or so we thought. My girlfriend rang immigration today and they told her that because our invitation pre-dates our skills assessment result, when we apply we will be rejected, as this was an invalid invitation. I don't want anyone replying to this thread to post links to the immigration page or large chunks of text where it states that this is the case. What I want to know is 1. Should we go ahead with the application and play dumb and 2. Is there any chance it will go through, as we now have everything required. Has anybody else had this experience and can they offer any advice? :arghh:
  16. Hello everybody, Is there anyone on here submitted EOI with 60 points (Accountant 221111) in May?. I submitted my EOI on 24/5. I just checked SkillSelect Report and there will be 2 rounds of invitation on 3 June and 17 June. There are still 5477 places left for accountant. What is the chance of me getting invited for June? Thanks Hugh

    Migration by Invitation

http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skillselect.htm Seems that future migrants from next year will have to show intent to migrate and then the gov decides whether to invite them or not based on shortage of skills.
  18. Hi guys, my bf have the statutory declaration signed and already sent to me so we can apply tourist visa here in the aus embassy.... the thing is, we forgot to edit one thing in the letter of invitation coz it was made and supposedly be completed and signed last august, so we counted the number of months weve been dating to 18months instead of 22months which our annivesarry falls on february. what can we do now? would the immigration deny it coz of that? is there a form to sign for incorrect details (not answers)? please help thanks.
  19. hi guys, i just need your advise. DIAC said: My boyfriend made a simple letter that contains the following in RED, printed in a piece of paper and signed it. But based from whats being said by DIAC, the said LETTER OF INVITATION is in a form of the STATUTORY DECLARATION template? Whats the diff between the two? and do we need to submit them? or which one is right? Your help is highly appreciated Thanks

    A Drink Anyone.

Hi All. This thread may have been done before, if so I apologise, just ignore it. But I reckon it may be interesting anyway. OK, so it's a Saturday night, you are having some friends and family round to your place for a drink or two. However, this time you can invite six other people, anyone you want to, absolutely anyone. They can be from the past, present or future. Famous, or infamous. Well known, or hardly known at all. Just people you love, hate, or just want to have a chat with. Anyone that you reckon will make for an interesting mix at your place that evening. I will start off with my half dozen: Any First World War Soldier Who Fought In The Trenches. I would ask them how the hell when that whistle blew did they have the guts and fortitude to 'go over the top' knowing that in all likelihood they would be killed? What thoughts went through their minds at that time? Shane Warne. Love him, loath him, a true great in the modern day era of sport. I would love to ask him how he lived with himself after blaming his Mum for his 'drug' slip up. Joking aside, a fantastic sportsman, could have watched him for hours. Reckon he would have some classic stories to tell. The Pope. Simply, I want to know how he retains such a strong faith, even when the worst possible things happen in the world. Though I cannot understand his deeply entrenched faith, I do admire it in a strange kind of way. Ranulph Fiennes. A great explorer, one of the few remaining. I would imagine he could keep us all entertained with his stories about the world and what his next adventure is going to be. I would ask him what he thought about while he was 'sawing' off his finger tips in his garden shed because they were so badly frost bitten after a polar expedition. Tony Blair. Make no bones, didn't, and don't agree with his policies and ideas. But would like to know how on earth at times he dragged himself out of bed in the morning and faced yet again a barrage of criticism about Iraq etc. Was it arrogance, stupidity, self-belief, insanity? Kate Beckingsale. AHHHHHHHHH. http://elc.polyu.edu.hk/filmsociety/07-08sem2/girl_kate_beckinsale024.jpg http://www.mohammadi.ca/media/1/20070526-normal_007.jpg http://www.vipwallpaper.com/data/media/108/Kate_Beckinsale_049.jpg  (PS. The Miissus Is Out, Can You Tell). Kate wouldn't need to say anything. When I got bored with the company I would just look at Kate while she was sipping a cocktail through a straw and the world would be all good again. (I apologise to the ladies of PIO, I'm not normally sexist, but it is MY party). Thank you. Tony.
