Hello, I am just looking for some guidance for the future as it would be a goal of mine to move to Australia in the future... ASAP. I am 21 years old I live in the UK and I am a fully Trained E,C & I (Electrical Control and Instrumentation) Technician with experience in Oil, Gas and Energy industry. I also have experience of Process operations on a Gas Turbine Power station. My main Quals are: NVQ Level 3 Instrumentation NEBOSH HND Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Would somebody be able to shed light on how I would stand in applying for jobs in Australia? Would I need further training if so what? What Jobs in Australia would I be suitable for? Would I get a sponsorship? Thank you for your help
I am going for a general skilled visa or possibly state sponsored and have a question regarding which skills assessment and therefore which job to get assessed for. I have the options of getting my trade recognised (I am a time served process control technician), which would give me the option of applying as an Electronic Instrument trade worker - Special Class (Industrial Measurement and Control Technician) (TRA assessment) or using my college qalifications to get Ieng or EngTech and going for recognition as an Engineering Technologist through the Sydney Accord (Engineers Australia). What would be my best option, considering costs of applying and for chances of getting sponsorship and/or employment? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
