New SOL excludes industrial pharmacist. but i found Chemist is included. i think pharmaceutical manufacturing plant is similar to a chemical industry and my job responsibilities is similar to a industrial chemist could i nominate Chemist as my occupation? Should I apply SMP or relative 176 visa? I have 4 years B.pharm and Ms in pharmaceutical sciences According to VETASSESS relevant study must be 25% major related to nominated occupation which might have been completed. 6. Hi there, we are planning on arriving in Perth at the end of June:biggrin: My husband is an industrial electrician and I am a primary school teacher, although I won't be looking to work full time until my wee girl (11) is settled in school etc. Mu husband already has his WA A grade license and he is going over in mid May to complete a HV switching course ( because he has the experience but not the cert and some adverts are requiting this). We are hoping that this will give his CV an added boost for some of the better paying projects that are on the go. He is happy to do FIFO. He has been on the phone daily and all the recruiters say is 'get back to me when you get here'. So, we are really hoping that there will indeed be plenty of work for him. Neither of us have ever been to perth but my son is working there as a dump truck driver in a mine. He is loving it (and the money) and assures us that my husband won't have a problem. If there are any sparkies out there that can reassure me OR the opposite, Id be very grateful! Sorry this is so looooong!

    Categorising Industrial Insulation

Can anyone help? I have got to the stage where Canberra have shown an interest in my CV and I am starting the process of completing my application for state sponsorship, so it is ready when the doors re-open for applications. As part of the process we are researching work for my husband as we need to show how we intend to support ourselves. He runs his own business in the construction industry insulating air conditioning ductwork, pipework, boilers etc, mainly for large industrial and commerical buildings. We know this is a trade that happens all over the world, but it is very difficult to categorise, even in this country. Is there anyone who knows how it is categorised in Aus, and/or any names of companies that deal with this type of work. He does not plan to have his own business in Aus., but ideally would be best working in the same trade. Once we have this information, it may be easier for us to identify potential jobs and salary. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
  11. Hi everybody, Is here any one who has lodged 175/176 with Industrial Engineer occupation? I wonder if any Industrial Engineer has so far been able to get a state sponsorship for this occupation since none of the states (maybe except for WA-off the list) sponsors this occupation. Cheers, siAvAsh

    Industrial Designer

Hi all. I have been visiting this site for a while now. There seems to be some friendly people and a wealth of information available so today I have decided to join. This is my first post so apologise for posting in the wrong place or making any mistakes. Coincidentally, today I have just posted my skills assessment to Vetassess in what I expect to be the start of a long and winding road to hopefully receiving my Visa. Having spoken with a few agents I have decided to go it alone so would appreciate any advice. I have nominated my occupation as an Industrial Designer 2533-15. Is there anyone else who has applied under this occupation? Will I have to do a practical assessment and what is involved? What has been your experience to date and what advice can you offer? Assuming I receive a positive skills assessment I hope to apply under the Skilled – Sponsored Visa (176 Sub class) hopefully residing in or close to Queensland. Can anyone comment on whether this would be the best Visa option for me? One agent I spoke with a while ago said that 176 wasn’t an option and the only choice available to me was the Skilled Regional Sponsored 475 Provisional Visa from South Australia? Look forward to hearing from you....

  16. Hi everyone, just a word of warning this is my first message, so appologies for my bad English. My wife and I have applied for skilled visas 157 ( 21/10/07) on the basis that my wife is the main applicant due to her being a fully qualified Nurse as her skills are in demand more. Can anybody give me some advice about which industry is best suited for me?? as we intend on moving to Perth don't know where excatly?Iam time served electrical maintenance engineer AND HAVE ALWAYS WORKED IN THE FMCG industry.I have completed NVQS 1,2 & 3 during which I completed a BTEC ONC in Electrical/Engineering.I then went on to complete a HNC in Mechatronics. I have been told that I can only apply for a 'A' Electrical Trade License on arrival is this true?? Kind Regards A very stressed sparky John:unsure:
