Hi just wondering if anyone can help me? Things are starting to get real now and suddenly wondered if the children, or indeed us adults, need any extra vaccinations/immunisations to emigrate to Australia??? Thanks Helen

    Childhood Immunisations

Hi, just wondering if the kids will need to get any additional Immunisations than we get in the UK! I have 2 boys, 8 and 3 and both have received all their Immunisations to date but just wondering if they need to get anything else before we go or when we land. Thanks

    Immunisations for UK kids?

Does anyone know if I need to get the kids extra jabs, to the normal UK childhood ones before we go in June? Thanks Tracey
  5. Hi All, my 13 year old daughter has just come home with the form and dates for her cervical cancer immunisation 3 jabs... Problem is we are still trying to sell up so we can go (have visas), and her dates for the jab are Feb, March and 23rd June - we have to validate by 22nd June! So what do we do?? Julie x
  6. Hi. We are in Sydney on a 457 with our two children (aged almost 3 and 13 months). They were both up to date with their immunisations in the UK, but now our youngest needs to have her MMR. I would also like to check that they are up to date with everything that they should be now we live here. How do I go about this? Is there a special clinic I need to take them to, or do I just go to see a doctor? How does the GP service work here? Do I need to register with a GP, or can I take them to see any GP? I asked in the Medicare office when I went to register with Medicare, but the lady I saw confused me (doesn't take much these days!) so now I have no clue! Sorry about the stupid questions but I am knackered (had a few bad nights with the children) and full of cold, so my head is a bit 'woolly' if you know what I mean!

    child immunisations

Hi I moved to the gold coast from London in Aug 08. My youngest (3 yrs) has been given chickenpox and Hep B jabs. I asked about my eldest (9 yrs) at the time. I was told he will be given his jabs for chickenpox and Hep B later via school. I'm a bit concerned as it doesn't seem to make much sense that he waits so long until he's immunised. Has anyone else had their older children immunised? Or got any advise? Thanks Louise

    Immunisations on a 457 visa

Hi My baby girl has just had her first stage immunisation and has the other 2 (at 3 months and 4 months) to get. We will be moving to Melbourne between the last 2 injections and are trying to find out if the immunisation process in Aus is similar ie will we be able to just get her the final stage and will we be able to get this for free on the 457, or will we have to pay? Also, are the chickenpox and Hep B immunisations free on the 457? Can you get Hep B immunisations as an adult in Aus for free and if not, how much does it cost? Thanks, K

:unsure:Hi there, Does anyone know whether we have to have any immunisations, before leaving for a new life in Oz on 7th June?? Someone mentioned to me only yesterday that they thought we had to have some, as we have a 9 hour stopover in Singapore.... Is this correct??? I am sure some of you people know the answer to this... Trying to get through to my local Doctors' surgery is like pulling teeth! Thanks, in advance... Andrea x x x :notworthy:
