Hey Guys Just looking for anybody with any experience proving their skills as a human resources advisor or manager to vetassess or AIM. My Wife is currently a HR manager with no degree, a CIPD level 5 and almost 5 years experience (20 months she will have 5 years experience). She ticks all the boxes of the highly relevant tasks for both a manager and and advisor, I will try to keep this into as little questions as possible. What documentation/evidence do each assessor require? Do they need verbal or written confirmation from an employer or is clear documentation fine? as her current employers are unfortunately quite likely to sabotage this is given the opportunity to do so. In terms of job tasks she qualifies now however her official title before being promoted to the manager position was not a manager or advisor but an assistant (official tasks still tick all the boxes) could this be used now as possible experience? I look forward to any feedback you guys can help with. thank you all

Hello We are moving to Melbourne next month and I have a job (fingers crossed) lined up as an HR Advisor. Those who are working in this field: - What are the things you have found interesting/difficult about the Aussie was of doing things? - Is it true that once you get your first Aussie HR job the next ones are easier (i.e. getting a foot in the door is all that counts?) - I've seen a lot of talk on forums indicating this is the case. Thanks for your time,

Hello, My 1st post here as i got my skill Assessed and now the big question which state to apply for SS. been reading previous posts and yes extremely helpful. General stuff such as weather, cost of living, people and places all understood. Also I checked job websites, compared various states for prospects. But still undecided as none if this information helps me draw a conclusion. Now would really appreciate if someone shed light on the job prospects for a Master in Business Administration degree holder with Human Resource specific 6 years experience. Could really use some on ground tale of happily ever after.

Hi I am a HR Manager hoping to gain a skilled Regional Sponsored Provisional visa to Oz. The AIM criteria for the assessment of a HR Manager talks about 'senior functional management' and stipulates that the applicant must; have reporting responsibility for a number of managers who themselves manage a further group of managers be the most senior functional person in the organisation Whilst I consider myself to be a solid HR Manager, I do not meet the above criteria since my organisation is large and is not structured in this way. Also, when I look at the ANZSCO criteria my skills and experience closely fit this criteria. Are there any HR professionals who have experience of going through this process successfully who can advise me. I don't want to pursue the application if I have misunderstood and 'HR Manager' means 'Senior HR Manager' and I don't meet the criteria. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks, Upping sticks

Hi, I have been applying for many jobs and looking for the past 6 months to find a job in Australia but not having much luck. I have got over 4 years experience in HR and want to develop me career in Australia. Does anyone have any advice? I would like to secure a job prior to moving, so if anyone can give me any links for jobs that would be great (whether this be agencies or companies willing to take people from the UK without a visa) Thanks

 Hello my husband is a FCCA qualified accountant with experience in both practice (about 15 years) and industry (about 5 years - financial and treasury accountancy). He is 40 this year and we have been talking about taking the plunge and moving to Oz. I am a CIPD qualified HR Manager (although I am not expecting to work although this would be nice and we have two sons, aged 8 and 5. If we came over, it would be on the strenght of Nicks' points (which he is delighted about - finally got one over on me!). I was just wondering where the best place to be is bearing in mind that he would certainly need to get a job within 3 - 4 months of us arriving. Is there any way we could research the types of accountancy jobs available before and which State offers the most opportunites! Some big questions here, but this will all help with the deliberation process. Am currently booking a reccy trip to take in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, but we are really open about location. For me it is about making our lives balanced and taking advantage of the great outdoors as the boys love it. Any comments or help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi All Does anyone have any ideas on what it is like to find a job in HR either as HR Adviser or HR Manager in Melbourne? Also, are CIPD qualifications are recognised in Australia by employers, or is it necessary to get the Australian equivalent? If so, what is the Australian equivalent? Has anyone looked into the transferability and translation of UK / Oz employment law? I'd be very interested in your take on it. Many thanks Soraya
