    nursery fees in perth

How much is it for nursery for a 2.5 year old in western Australia. Hillarys area? Does the government help towards child care costs or do you have to be there for a period of time before you can get any benefits like that, we are moving on a permanent visa. Thanks
  2. Who would be up for a meet up next Wednesday at Hillarys Marina? I'll be there with the 3 year old Newlin and 1 year old Maeryn, Doone will be in school. I thought 12 or 1230 would be good? What do you all think?

    Hillarys v Freemantle?

Finally narrowed it down to either one of these! Anyone have an opinion of one or the other? Can anyone tell me if these are good for families? Also, can anyone give me any information on any of these schools? Freemantle - Christian Brothers College or South Freemantle Senior High. Hillarys - St Marks Anglican School or Padbury Senior high? As always, thank you in advance!
  4. Hi Iam Karl (26) from Manchester United Kingdom. I am looking for quality friends I can socialise with. I enjoy drinks, bars, beach, coffee, home bbq and so on. I also love watching the football and a bit of banter. Do get in touch if you fancy coffee and chit chat. Thanks.:chatterbox:
  5. Hi, I wondered if anyone would be able to help me.... We are relocating from Melbourne to Perth at the end of the year. We are looking to settle in the Hillarys, Sorrento area. I have spoken to both primary schools, both of which were very helpful and friendly. I know both have catchment areas. Basically the school we choose will therefore determine where we live. Does anyone know what sort of reputations these schools have, or schools in surrounding neighbourhoods? Do any of you have kids in these schools? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks. Rach :wubclub:
  6. I'm over from the uk staying with relatives for 2 months and looking for people to party with with or just hang out. I'm a 17 year old single male. Anybody willing to show me around? I'm for pretty much anything. Thanks Alex
  7. Hi, We are seriously contemplating renting a property in one of these northern suburbs, however, I am concerned about the commute into the CBD for work? From what I can gather, a bus and train ride into the city will take approx 1 hr, which I have no major worries about. But, I have just been reading an article (not sure how long ago it was written) that said the northern burbs have become too large for the public transport system which results in overcrowded trains heading into Perth. What is the commute really like? One of the draws to the north is that we seem to be able to rent more property for our $$$ there, as opposed to the property that is nearer to the city centre, but a consideration is that if we end up spending those savings on a longer commute to work, is it really worth it? I'd really appreciate some guidance from people that live in these areas and use public transport to make the daily commute into Perth. Thanks, Simon
  8. Hi there, We are moving over tho Perth in August and are considering both of these areas. Can anyone give me their experiences of living in either Hillarys or Ocean Reef, we are a family with 2 children aged 7 and 3 years. Also, can anyone give me there opinions on the primary schools, we know Beaumaris has a great reputation, but we don have any information on Hillarys primary or Ocean Reef primary. Thanks very much for any help. Rachel
  9. Hi there, Just wondering if anyone could recommend a playgroup in and around the Hillarys area? I have 3 boys, 7, 5 and 2 and whilst my older boys are enrolled and heading back to school in a few weeks, I'm really wanting my youngest to be involved in some sort of organised activites group for his age range. Also, I see it as a great opportunity for me to mix with the mothers. We've only been out here a few weeks, so still not fully clued up on all that's going on in the area. Many thanks.:cute:
  10. Hi all, Im just looking for some feedback on St Marks School. Fees seem reasonable and looks good online but wondering if anyone has any experience on the school. All help much appreciated. Sports facilities etc etc. Kind Regards:biggrin:
