Guest posted a topic in Visa Chathi all, my brother carelessly forgot to extend his student visa in 2008 and overstayed in australia for more than 28 days. he reported himself to immigration and he become subjected to the exclusion period preventing him to be granted any temporary visa to australia for 3 years. however, he managed to appoint an immigration agent to arrange his VE 176 nominated occupation accountant in mid 2008 and his application had been submitted since then there are various sources that state that exclusion period doesn't apply to permanent resident application, but we are not sure. we are afraid that his mistake would affect his permanent visa consideration. so can any one provide a concrete answer for this case? will his overstay status back then affect his off shore permanent visa application's consideration? this case is serious, we would be grateful for any help provided:notworthy:
Hi, I need some direction for my visa status. I am currently on student visa, studying advanced diploma of hospitality (which already taken out from the list). All i can get is TR, cause i haven't applied for my TR even though I am holding student visa on 8th February. 1) I will be graduated this April, my questions is what steps do I have to follow in applying for my TR? Do i need to apply through those provisional skills, etc? Do I have to provide evidence of 6 months working in related field? 2) I planned a wedding in september this year. Which means that I'll be probably on briding visa at that time. I am not sure whether I can travel out from Australia for a wedding party reason? 3) I am currently working for a retail supermarket (just say coles). I told my area manager about the condition of my visa, he said that it's not possible for them to give me any sponsorship. But then he came up with this idea to train me as trainee manager with salary package $41k in the first year and $45k in the 2nd year. He offered me this 3-year management trainee program. I have to say that I am interested with the offer, thus I am looking for easier way to get employer sponsorship. Is there any easy way like just getting a letter of sponsorship from area manager, etc and I'll do the rest? I also noticed that there is income treshold $47,480 as one of the requirements in sponsorship..so I am not sure whether I can get any sponsorship if I earn below the amount though as far as I know Retail Manager is included in the sponsorship list. Anyone, please help me..Thanks a lot
Hello guys, I am a student living in brighton, and i really want to make the move to brisbane. I just have no idea where or even where to start looking!! I dont know if anyone knows brighton, but it is a lovely coastal city, with an art thriving community. It is fairly small (walkable distance to most places unless your feeling lazy) It is full of buzz and there is always something quirky going on. There is a big nightlife, and loads of independent shops and boutiques. I guess I am looking for a fairly similar thing in Oz. About two years ago I visited Brisbane and stayed in Noosa, which is sooo beautiful but also very expensive. I also visited Eumandi (excuse the spelling) which i loved to bits with the busy market, but maybe a little quiet in the week? I really likes the city of brisbane, which was amazing but it is just sooo big. I know that what Im asking is probably really far-fetched but any replies or suggestions would be a great help... ....and anyone who reads this essay, and replies deserves a massive thanks ! :wubclub:
