    Goodnight All.

Well, I have spent the majority of my day on PIO, (sad but true) as have a load of other people. The plans I had today went t7ts up when my eldest decided she wanted dads taxi service on three occasions, my youngest decided that I was the worst dad in the world (because I insisted she did her homework) and the better half spent most of the day in bed as she had a really bad day. So it could have been a complete loss today, I hate Sundays anyway. But is turned out a thoroughly entertaining, educational and humorous day. So before I tuck myself up on the sofa (as Ruth needs her rest without me snoring,:embarrassed:) I would like to thank you all for making what could have been a really sh77ty day into one of pleasure and entertainment. So good night all, see you tomorrow. :notworthy::hug: Cheers Tony.

  5. After a couple of weeks surfing the forums as a guest, I am now a part of the forum. My wife and I emigrated to Brisbane in July 2007, thinking we are going to return back to the UK in the next couple of years even if for 6-12 months maybe longer. Good to see the interaction and positive suggestions on posts which is encouraging. Speak soon.
  6. hello all first post alert:goofy: have been here 2 years now and for us its time to go back. we like it ok but its not enough. honeymoon period lasted probably 1 year to 18 months then the realisation of WTF have we done????? OH not happy and I was walking home from work one day and I just thought to myself "what the hell am I doing here" and its never left me since. So we are looking at moving back within the year assuming the house gets sold. its not the best time but i think if we are realistic with the price will be ok. I do worry about going back as we have a nice life here - cant complain about much but its not living. do like the climate (although not when its really humid) and we are financially better off here. but it feels like treading water. have met plenty people and some we really like (about 4!!!) but most of the time you are meeting people for something to do rather than because you particularly like them - whats that about? funny thing is we talked about all this before we came out and thought we would be ok - just goes to show you just dont know until you do it. going back feels worse than leaving as it was all excitement leaving whereas going back is tinged with regret that it wasnt to be although starting to feel excited too. just hoping that we can settle again on the other side as we dont hate it here...................anyone else feel the same???????
