rebejes3 posted a topic in Visa ChatDear members, I have applied for subclass 475 on 23rd July 2010 through a migration agent, i got vetassess skill assessment for the occupation of Counsellor nec - ASCO Code 2513-79 and got the WA state nomination by June 2010 for the same occupation. Once i got the state sponsorship i couldn't apply for the visa in the month of June 2010 due temporary close of offshore GSM visas. When the New SOL 2010 came into effect, my occupation Counsellor nec was mapped into Psychotherapist - ANZSCO Code 272314 and the SOL 3 (Old) clearly indicated Applicants can only nominate an ANZSCO occupation from 1 July 2010 and An applicant with the relevant skills assessment in ASCO Occupation should map it to the relevant ANZSCO occupation. (pls find the attachment) I have been informed by my agent with the below email(from CO) saying my state nomination is invalid and they gave just 28 days to approach WA to consider as off list! I don't know what to do and my agent says we have to apply for SS again and i am wondering how will it be possible to get off list nomination since my occupation is not on the WA SMP?? Really worried and i am not getting reliable response from the agent also  after paying 1800 $ as the agent fee any opinions please share :notworthy: Thank you and the below is the email from CO Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to you in regards to the above Skilled migration application. Please be advised that I am willing to accept the applicants nominated occupation of Psychotherapist, ANZCO 272314 , pending provision of the new ANZCO skills assessment. However, please be advised that the WA STNI has not been accepted by the Department and has been deemed invalid as the applicants occupation is not on Western Australia's State Migration Plan and they have indicated to us that they are not prepared to sponsor the applicant as an "off list" application. I am now providing 28 days for the applicant to reapproach WA to ascertain if they will be prepared to sponsor them as a Psychotherapist and under their SMP or as an off list nomination. The applicant can ONLY be sponsored by their nominated state of WA, and cannot provide another state nomination. Please be advised if no state nomination is forthcoming from WA within 28 days the application will be subject for Refusal. This is where it has to start with everyone, with an idea. That idea is simply “I think I’d like to move to Australia”. We first went to Aus in 2001 to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. The only reason my husband and I first visited Aus was because my husband's father won the tickets in a competition. Unfortunately for him, he gave the tickets to us to go in his place as he was diagnosed with cancer. To jump forward a few chapters, he is a survivor (twice) and now celebrates his 76th birthday. So we went and we fell in love with Australia instantly and there started the idea. But it was just an idea, so we went back a second, third and fourth time, it then became 'the dream', which then became reality...our flights are booked and we leave ole blighty on April 30th 2011 with permanent resident visas. From start to finish it has gone on for ten years. But we are practical people who have built a comfortable life in the uk and are worried about making such a big move....I have read posts on pio and there are some people who are going to aus who have not even visited and there are those that have and what about those who are already there! So where did your idea start?
I never thought i would say this but I have just paid $6.50 for some BISTO in Bayside, Frankston:wacko: I tried doing everything with 'Gravox' and it is just disgusting!!!! After living in the north of England for over 20 years making 'Tater Ash' and such like, the Gravox just doesn't do it. It is like cornflour in a tin.... (just my opinion):embarrassed: Anyone else resorted to drastic expensive measures to get something to taste normal? Please say it is not just me!!!!!!
Had a new experience this morning on a tram in Melbourne. I was standing up and noticed a girl near me flinching, muttering and going pale, staring at my bag. When I looked at it there was a very large shiny insect sitting on it...I had no idea what it was but tried unsuccessfully to knock it off. Then another girl attacked it more vigorously, followed by a third passenger(female again) who delivered the final blow by crushing it under her heel. At this point, someone mentioned the word cockroach. By the way, none of the men even stirred. I will be checking out my bag pretty carefully from now on..yuck!
