    Hobbies.

I have several irons in the fire especially art and photography, the past few days we have been getting the kids into crafting getting them to use their brains and imagination and not just festering stuck in front of screens. I found a nice little computer program that lets you make posters, yes i know i said get them away from computers but it then allows them to create away from the machines and gives them an end result. Not the greatest of site names but hey ho - https://rasterbator.net/ Our other daughter is making mosaics from rice and smashed pasta pieces.

    The Gardening Thread

I've had the nod from the trouble 'n' strife to build an allotment at the end of the jardin. The ground at the moment is a bit hard and my idea is to lay some old railway sleepers to form a raised bed. Is this a good idea? anyone? Also, what am I limited to growing this time of year?

Does anyone have a recommendation in the Capalaba/Redlands area for someone to do a quick end of lease gardening job and also remove some rubbish to the tip? I know there are a few around but figured someone here might have found someone who will do a decent job.

    Gardening Leave & Tax

Hi all - a newbie here who has been lurking and gaining much valuable insight from your posts. I have been made redundant by my company and am now on gardening leave and receiving a salary until my termination date. My family and I plan to relocate (on a 309 visa) before the ultimate termination date so I will still be receiving a UK income and a redundancy payment in the UK. Should I wait until this is paid before I submit my P85 form to HMRC? Thanks for any help.

Ok so we have been here 3 months now. I have discovered I am NOT a gardener. I have managed to break FIL mower..... trying to turn it off. I just wondered how much roughly I would pay for a man who can to come mow my lawn (Medium sized) and take away the palm branches and leaves that keep falling down!
