  4. We are moving furniture from a large house to another large house via a smaller, medium-term rental that only has two bedrooms but does have a spacious and dry, non-flood prone garage very nearly the same size of the container. I have identified the garage as a useful medium-term store for stuff that we want to bring in container but don't have room for until we buy a three or four bedroom house. But I am investigating how humid Melbourne is throughout the year and concerning myself how things like sofas would cope in a dry, relatively well ventilated lock-up garage with no heater. I've looked at weather statistics so I have seen average humidity data for each month of the year. Statistics are all very well. Does anyone have experience or views about such storage in the Melbourne climate and the wisdom of it. Mildew and mould would be fairly disastrous for some items. Spiders etc: we could nuke with appropriate concoctions. Advice appreciated.

So, tell me about garage Sales !

Seem to be plenty of them going on where we are moving too. Whats the etiquette? Is it just like a car boot sale in someones garden? Do loads of people show up early and buy all the good stuff or is it quite relaxed. Are things pried up or do you haggle

    Garage Doors

Can anybody help me with my door ? It wont close all the way, it just keeps opening back up when it gets about three quarters down, as though there is something in the way of the sensor. I've checked, there are no obstacles, i've brushed the door, the walls and the floor and i still have problems. There are 3 buttons on the remote, the big one which opens and closes(usually), then two smaller buttons, anyone know what these are for ? It can't be the battery can it ?, if it was then surely it wouldn't open and close at all. Your help, is always, greatly appreciated

  23. Im looking for a bit of inspiration please. We are in a 3 bed 1 level house and due to the layout of the property the girls bedrooms are one off the kitchen and one off the living room so toys end up right throught the house and we are all open plan. I have nearly broke my neck twice today with toys on the kitchen floor so have decided thats it!! Has anyone convcerted their garage area into a playroom for the toys?? Obviously we are in a rental and limited to what we can do, we also have about 30 boxes from our move that are still packed and a few bits of furniture that dont fit in here. Can anyone let me know what they have done ie how to section off the stuff in there so the little one cannot get at them (lawnmower etc). I would like to kind of set up at tv corner for them etc. There is a window in bottom of garage but the door is a double one and so would be impractical to open it etc.... Can anyone give me some ideas before I lose the plot!!!!! Thanks Emx
