  2. Hi guys As most of you are probably aware ,Gary is a diesel mechanic/fuel inj technician. He has been approached by 2 companys located in Brisbane who are desperate for good, reliable, TIME SERVED, diesel fuel injection technicians for bench/workshop duties. One company is prepared to sponser, the other will consider it but would prefer someone with a PR in place. If you are interested feel free to send me a PM and i will pass contact information to you. Heres hoping this may help someone wanting to relocate to the Brisbane area. Cal x

    Fuel Price's

I know some of you reading this are back in the UK and the price of fuel is huge, and you'll probably say stop whinging, however here goes: In Australia, fuel prices change daily being more expencive at the weekend, and cheaper on a Tuesday/Wednesday. Today I went to buy some fuel for my bike. The pump was showing $1.43 (I buy Caltex Vortex for my bike), so I went in and payed for my fuel. On my return to my bike I hear a tapping noise, I turn around to see the bloke changing the price on the big billbord. I turned around and I saw that the price for the fuel I had full my bike up 3 muns before hand was now £1.28. Talk about being done over, I feel well jooped! I'm sure I am not alone, I'm just glad I wasn't filling up the car!

    fuel costs for research?

Hi All If i was making a 40 minute round trip to work each day, what would be the approx cost of fuel in Adelaide? I know it depends on car size but just need a rough guide for research purposes. Also how much is car insurance on average per annum for a medium sized car with average usage? Thanks in advance Mark

    fuel costs

All four major supermarkets have cut petrol prices for the second week in a row, amid an increasingly intense fuel price war. Asda led the onslaught, announcing unleaded will fall by 2p to 111.9p per litre, and diesel will drop 4p to 124.9p across all its 171 forecourts. Tesco retaliated by bringing in cuts of up to 2p per litre on petrol and 4p on diesel at the store's 430 petrol stations. Then Morrisons stepped in, announcing price drops on petrol by 2p a litre and diesel by 4p a litre on its 285 forecourts. Sainsbury's also pledged to slash petrol by up to 3p and diesel by 4p. Retail giant Asda continued on the offensive by challenging other major supermarkets to set prices nationally rather than locally, which it says will mean a better deal for drivers. Asda trading director David Miles said: "With costs falling, now is a perfect time to show fair prices to all your customers by taking higher prices off the pump." Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's said they price their fuel locally and compete on cost within each area. The latest cuts continue a price war sparked last week, when Asda cut 3p from diesel and unleaded - which swiftly provoked similar drops from Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Tesco. The latest cuts have been welcomed by motoring organisations. President of the AA Edmund King said: "The fuel price war started with the supermarkets last week and now we appear to be entering Round Two of the battle. "Motorists have not had much good news this year but the price reductions led by Asda will bring a sigh of relief. We hope that more retailers will join the crusade soon." BP has also lowered prices today by up to 3p at a number of its sites and will continue to review costs throughout the week, a company spokesman said. The firm will additionally recommend a drop in prices at 900 BP garages run by independent dealers.
