  1. Ive waited to post this thread, as I wanted to put the whole story down at the end, but I think Ill do a part one and finish off when its done. Went out and got all our quotes , as usual, decided to use crown as they seemed to have an excellent reputation. They werent the cheapest, but decided when shipping all of your worldly good, you want quality right ? In the run up to "D" day, I was a little concerned as I had rang the birmingham office a couple of times with questions but no one would ring me back. But didnt worry too much about it. Anyway the day the packers arrived came , they were due at 9am, by 9.30 no one had turned up. I rang the office, no one rang me back, I rang again, and finally got someone to tell me the guys were running late, and would be there shortly. 10.30 Still no one. Again rang the office, no one rang me back. I had to ring the salesman, who eventually rang me back, and told me there had been an accident, and they would be there around lunch. 12.30 they turned up. They stuck to the story about an accident, but 31/2hours, I wasnt convinced. Well the packers were really good , and very helpful. They put us at ease. We were due our 40 foot container on the wednesday. It was due to arrive by 10, should have been packed by 2 and then we would go back to our hotel, to spend an evening with family and friends, before leaving the following day. 10am we hear the lorry to see a 20ft container on the lorry. Again, many unanswered phonecalls to finally be told the container would arrive by 3pm. Very frustrating and traumatic. THe other thing is I was transporting my motorcycle. A very heavy 2 litre cruiser. I was told they had a ramp and they expected me to ride the bike up the ramp onto the container. Very dangerous. Im not evel kneivel and im not risking my pride and joy on that ramp. I made various suggestions to deviate the trailer to my work to get the bike lifted on correctly but they would not deviate the trailer to more than one drop. Eventually the trailer turned up. And the loading started. My bike had to be lifted on to a luton van, then from a luton van onto the trialer. No mean feat, as this is a 300 kilo bike. Then the crate, was not big enough. They had to pack the crate with extra wood to make it fit. It wasnt wide enough, or high enough. Eventually the container was filled. I left my house at 10pm, dirty tired and p*ssed off. I had to cancel seeing some of my friends because of one too many mistakes. Surely it could only get better at the other end. Well the container arrived at Perth on the 24th October. I was quoted 5 to 10 days to get customs cleared. I know that crown didnt even get the container until 2 weeks after it docked, and I have just been told today they will be delivered on the 24th November. A full month to clear customs. There has been some issue with some spare bike parts I brought, nothing to do with my bike, just a couple of sets of bars and risers, customs want the kept out as they want to tax me on them. I should have just sold them before I came. Im fed up and want to sleep on a proper bed. My bed. Just hope things are ok when they get there. I know crown have had to open alot of boxes to find my bars and risers. Ihate the thought of people going through my stuff. Im hopeing my next post on this thread will be happier, but needless to say If we end up going back to the uk, we will not be using crown.

    Frustration

Waiting on my nursing registration to come through. However all our capital is in our house an finding it difficult to apply for any of our visas. Is anyone in this situation
  3. Ladies and Gentleman, I am moving from here and there to get the answer to this question. When will DIAC start processing Cap and Cease ? Can any Solicitor, DIAC official, MARA agent or Sr. POMS member can answer to this query. Why are DIAC not talking about Cap and Cease? It has been more that 3 months since they were on the home page of DIAC website regarding Cap and Cease. Since then they did not said a single word about Cap and Cease. I am on the peak of my frustration now guys. My family has been equally effected by this. Well, there are some people who are in Australia with fake experiences.I can not stop myself from saying that there are some people who got the fake sponsorships from Australian companies by getting some money. And there is another way yo enter Australia by getting onto the ship and make yourself successful by touching the shores of Australian seas illegally. And people like me who has everything genuine with good English and professional experience are facing the hunter of CAP and CEASE.... Why not DIAC can distinguish between who is fake and who genuine. I hope I am not alone while I expressing this painful feeling, there must be thousands of other genuine people who really want to serve Australian economy and Australia too but they have been stopped from doing this. This is my pain which come right from my heart. And I can not sleep during nights when I thinks about my past three years which I spent without knowing that whether I did wrong or right by applying for Australia. Please I need some answer ... not a standard computerized mail which I am receiving for last three years......
  4. Hi all I'm having serious issues with the spousal subclass 309 (offshore) visa! I have everything I need, personal statements, bank details, everything we need we have, however she had to leave Australia 5 months ago due to her visa expiring! She should have been able to go back to her old job, but due to a mishap in Human resources, the correct paperwork was not filed and she was therefore unemployed - 2 months down the road she was able to get a job, so we were going to get the visa then, all of a sudden she experienced family problems with her parents and her Nan fell seriously ill, so we had to delay it again... Now we're ready, and its almost 6 months coming up since we were together physically, I stayed here and bought us a car, renovated a place for us to live and got hold of a permanent job, hence the reason I couldn't go back, plus the fact we wanted to live in Australia! However we have trouble proving we were in contact, we regularly use skype and MSN but it never really occurred to us to save the history of the conversations, so thats out of the window, we have emails but a botch in my email system means I cannot print directly from the screen, so is it acceptable to print off transcripts of the emails we have sent? (Ie Put them onto Microsoft Word and print them off that way) We've only in the last month started to use the phone so thats out of the window (or is it?)... Has anybody else had this problem? and if so how did you manage it? Is it really as big an issue as I am thinking? I'm literally sick to the stomach at the thought of losing 4 and half years of a relationship due to 5 months of proof!! I'm at my wits end, I'd appreciate any information/advice you could have on this matter.... thank you:cry:

    Visa frustration!!!

My 457 visa application was submitted in May and medicals etc have all been completed. We e mailed my case officer to see when a decision would be made on my visa and she has replied saying she doesn't require any more documentation and my medical and health checks have all been finalised. Good news so far. My sponser has put on their nomination a proposed start date of 7 Sep and my case officer has said that they can't finalise the visa until a maximum of 4 weeks prior to the start date!! so a decision will be made on 7 Aug. Thats not so good because we were planning on leaving on 12 Sep so that only gives us 4 weeks to sort out our house here (the letting agency wants 6 weeks notice as we are planning on renting it - not good) get somewhere to live over there and places are already getting booked up, flights, furniture, etc etc. Have replied to my case officer to see if she can give us an indication as to what the decision will be - I don't think she will - red tape and all that. So I'm fed up and frustrated!!! Has anyone else come across this because in all the mountains of info I've read I don't remember seeing anywhere that the visa will only be granted 4 weeks before the date specified by the sponsor? Any tips or advice will be most welcome Carol Carol

    Frustration isn't the work

Hope you don't mind but feeling like a bit of a rant myself! My husband and i are despreate to move to Oz, we have been over twice, for travelling and our honeymoon but we can't appy as we haven't had sufficient qualifications to appy, iv completed an AQF Diploma this year, but im 5 months pregnant so i wont finish my work experience for another 16 months atleast. My husband should also finish his diploma over the next couple of weeks and then he will have his 12 months work experience, and our points are a bit tight for the 176 ( My sister is in Victoria and will sponsor us). It's just so annoying we want it so much and everything seems to always be against us, we have been on this path for over a year already and it still seems so far away. Im sure it will work out in the end, but it doesn't stop it being frustrating. Please bear in mind im highly hormonal so it is obviously bringing everything to a head. i just wish there was something else we could do! Well Peeps Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year :emoticon-signxmas:

    Frustration with x-ray

I emailed my agent on Tuesday to ask how my application was going, and she told me the Immigration Department hadn't yet received my x-ray (which was done on August 4th!)... After ringing around I found out the radiology department had forwarded it onto the people who do the medicals even though I don't need a medical, so my x-rays and forms have been sitting in Oxford instead of being sent to Sydney! I'll get them sent over asap, but it's frustrating to know that it has been held up because of that. At least everything seems to be back on track now.

    Sheer Frustration...

Hi Guys! I don't know which is worse - waiting for the visa or having it in my passport but not being able to go because we've got to sell our house before we can! I know I am being very impatient because, in reality, I ought not to go until September when our eldest daughter starts uni (she decided to stay on her own - brave huh?) but I WANT TO GO NOW! I would even accept silly offers on the house just to get it all over and done with! We were so close but the stupid buyer pulled out on the day of exchange and, although the house is very nice and so on, I am crawling up the walls  Just need some moral support...
