I know how hard pet friendly accommodation is to find. We have a piece of software that shows us all the pet friendly properties in the area and thought I would put the link to this if anyone is interested, it is in Lyndhurst, a lovely suburb close to the beach, the highway and the rainforests: LOT 923 SILVERWATTLE PLACE, LYNDHURST, Victoria 3975 - House to Lease #404304261 - realestate.com.au

Football Friendly Sydney Central Moore Park SATURDAY 13th Aug - 11.00am
Guest posted a topic in New South Wales
If you are up for a friendly game of Football (Soccer) this weekend, or every weekend for that matter get in touch. There are at least 10 of us playing 5 aside at Moore Park opposite the Captain Cook Hotel on Flinders St, normally between Anzac Parade and South Dowling. Playing regularly every Saturday at 11.00am to get in shape, meet new people and have a laugh. I'm English, 25, Male, moved to Aus with my gf and half (1/4) decent at football, always a little competitive, but in it for fun. I am here on a 4 year visa so hoping to make it a long term thing. Skill level absolutely anything from beginner to professional (I will be amazed if any pro footballers appear but you never know). Send me an email if you've got any questions, or with your contact details if you're going to show up. Let me know if its just yourself, or with friends, and maybe a bit about yourself. I'll email confirmation mid week with contact details. You wont need football trainers or boots - though I'm sure it will help. If any one is up for a beer after then I'm sure we can accommodate, we usually do! -
Hi, my name is Ash and I am a 21 year old from Birmingham living in Sydney CBD looking to play some football. I'm not a great player but can certainly play. If I'm not good enough to play for a team competitively I am more than happy to just train or anything. Just an oppurtunity to kick a football a couple of times a week would be great! Thanks

Hi guys, Just wondering if anyone is familiar enough with Perth to be able to recommend a family friendly fitness centre/gym in Perth. The kind of place I'm thinking of would have tennis courts, pool, gym and gym classes, maybe creche and mother-toddler classes etc. Any ideas? Thanks everyone. Kate.

Dear All, My lovely wife and I have been living in Sydney for the past three and a half years, renting in the suburb of Randwick. We’re permanent residents and we’re looking to buy within the next year. We’d love to live in Randwick, very central, not as pretentious as other areas in the Eastern Suburbs, but with the prices as they are, that simply isn’t practical financially. We’ve been focussing on the Sutherland area and the surrounds but would love to hear opinions regarding other family friendly areas in Sydney (we’re thinking long term, kids in a few years so we’d like to settle in a family friendly area). We’ve heard good things about the area, reasonable prices, good schools, and with a high-speed train that goes from Sutherland to the CBD, where we both work. We’re not restricting ourselves to solely this area. Thank you in advance for any replies or thoughts people have on this topic. Andy

Hello there all, I am a young gay man who is interested in moving from Europe to Australia and I would like your opinion about the Australian mentality about gays...are they conservative like the American people or they are more open minded like European people? I have been for a long time in the Netherlands and would very much appreciate if someone has any experience of the Netherlands and can give a comparison between the mentality of the people of these two countries about gays. Any opinion welcome... thanks

Hi, Thinking of meeting our friends from Brisbane Easter weekend and wanted to go camping somewhere halfway. We both have dogs though so needs to be somewhere pet friendly and wondered if anyone had any recommendations? We are not bothered about luxuries; actually would probably prefer a quieter more basic campsite. Happy to go inland or by beach. Any other recommendations in and around any part of NSW would also be appreciated for when we go on our own? Just found a place called Wollondilly River Station which looks great!

Hello all I am pretty new on here and moving to Perth WA all being well this summer, I have a fab 2 year old dog who loves to run about and wondered whether anyone could offer advice on suburbs and beaches north of Perth that are pet friendly or have off leash exercise areas ? I have done some homework and there does seem to be some areas that are okay but obviously where we rent is important and needs to be within reach of parks and beaches that are pet friendly/ doggy friendly. :chatterbox: Any help would be so appreciated from people living near Perth with dogs perhaps. Many thanks in advance Sponsored work visa 2011 - mid process

Hi We have been here 3 years in West Pennant Hills and my son attends Murray Farm Public School. It's progressively making him unhappy and I need to find a school (public or private) where the emphasis is on encouragement for any success and where the curriculum is taught in an engaging, boy friendly, way. He is so unhappy and considers himself such a failure as it seems all he constantly hears from his teacher is how he does so many things wrong. Any recommendations from you all please ?

Dear All, We are relocating to Launceston or close by within the next 2 months. We have a dog who is coming with us. There seems to be a real shortage of rental property that will accept dogs. Does anyone have anyone have any suggestions of other sources we can look at for houses to rent. We are looking for a long lease and can provide references from the UK that we are very responsible with our dog.... no muddy paws anywhere! Thanks for you help

Where is baby/toddler friendly in Sydney (but not too expensive!!)?
thekennys posted a topic in New South Wales
Hi all, My husband and I are moving to Sydney in January 2011 when I will be 8 months pregnant and our daughter will be 20 months. He will be working in Northbridge so we are looking for a nice area that isn’t too expensive around the Lower North Shore or even further away if easily commutable. I am a little puzzled to which areas offer the best in activities for babies and toddlers. Currently we live in Greenwich, London which has loads of classes and activities for little ones, like baby swimming, sensory classes, soft play etc. and we’d like to find somewhere similar in Sydney with lots for the little ones to do close by, as my husband will have the car for work, so I will be relying on public transport/walking. If anyone can recommend a fun area with nice places to live I’d be super grateful. We are looking to spend a maximum of £800 per week rent and we would love some outside space (!). Any pointers or general help for a young family welcome, as our baby #2 will be arriving about 5 weeks after we do, so we won’t have too much time to find things out for ourselves! Thanks so much in advance. All best wishes Helen- 6 replies

Hi All Have been trying to scan the previous posts so I hope I'm not repeating here but I am struggling to find rentals that are pet friendly. We have a small dog (a pug) and a cat and my partner and I are relocating to Sydney in Feb '11. Originally I was thinking of doing short-term accom as a base and then finding something long-term from there but the short-term prices seem somewhat excessive! My 1 bed place in London costs less than half of what they seem to be asking for in the short-term places?! (upwards of $120 / nt) And that's _excluding_ the fact that virtually none of them say they are pet friendly! Next I thought I would try a relocation agent to help and maybe cut out the short-term piece (hopefully the agent isn't more expensive than the rent!) so fired off a bunch of emails to agents I found on Google and only had 1 of them bother to reply (and she said she couldn't help because she only did North Sydney - we are ideally looking anywhere from Newtown eastwards really). So I'm now starting to get stressed that we're not going to have anywhere to live when we arrive and our little ones come out of quarrantine! Can anyone offer any advice / names or agents or landlords to contact / divine intervention? Many thanks!

Hi there Me and my husband are currently renting a 1 bed fully furnished flat. The lease runs out beg of jan and we love to move to a house where we can get a dog. I have started looking on Reiwa but so many places say no pets. Does anyone know of any companies that are more leniant than others? We dont have a dog at the moment but I would love to get an ex racing greyhound. I can supply references from a couple that we house sat for stating that the dog was well looked after and the house was kept clean and tidy and I can also supply info from the greyhounds as pets website which basically says how quiet, clean and lazy greyhounds are  If anyone has info that would help me, that would be fabulous. Thank yoooooou xxx Laura n Mick
