  1. A reminder that HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) must receive your 2019 personal UK tax return and any money you owe in respect of the year to the 5th of April 2019 by the 31st of January 2020. If you have been issued with a Notice to File a 2019 UK tax return the return must be completed and lodged if a late filing penalty is to be avoided. Penalties start at £100 if your tax return is received by HMRC a day late. An additional daily penalty at the rate of £10 per day is added if the tax return remains outstanding more than 3 months after the due date (with a maximum daily penalty of £900), with additional penalties arising if the tax return remains outstanding more than 6 months after the due date for filing. These penalties apply even if there is no tax to pay. If a balance of tax is payable for the 2018/19 UK tax year and has not been paid by the end of January 2020 interest will start to accrue. Best regards.

    Delay in filing PR application

Hi, we started our PR process during July under Employee Nomination Scheme. Its over 1.5 month now since we completed the rest of the paper work. What's troubling us is why our Agent is not filing application with DIAC, though agent is very efficient but is not giving me any explanation about the delay in process. when asked when are they going to file application reply was - i don't know. Guys any idea what's happening with PR application these days, is any body in similar situation? Please share your experience. I am quite frustruated because of this and has held up all my planning depending on this. I don't know how to deal with this agent as they are official migration agency of my employer. Regards, rgd

    Needs help on RPL

Dear everyone I have already got positive assessment from ACS in Jan-2010, but in recent changes of DIAC I have to resubmit the PASA. I have some queries are and hope they will be answered. Do I have to submit all things again with new PASA application? I got positive assessment in “Network Security Professional (ASCO code: 2231-79)” but after adoption of ANZSCO codes, the said category falls under “261314- Software tester & 261399- Software & Application programmers nec”. As my field is security but specifically network security and in new ANZSCO codes “263111 – Computer Network and System Engineers & 263113 – Network Analyst” closely matched to my field. Can I apply on my closely related ANZSCO codes or i have to apply with new codes which relate to Old ASCO codes? I would appreciate for any helpful reply. Thanks
  5. I was just wondering about anyone stuck in the waiting game process and chucked left and right due to mad changes that keep place. Has anyone lodged a complaint with DIAC before and got any positive outcome/feedback??? There is also the route of complaining to commonwealth Ombudsman but it is advised that you should file a complaint first with the dept. Any advise given on whether it is a valid complain the idea of being stuck in rut waiting for nearly 2 years with no feedback from diac regarding timelines, and the agony of the changes coming down on us every now and then. Anyone please share your experiences or advise on that matter.
  6. I am one of the unlucky people who is worst affected by the recent Feb 8 changes . Actually I filed my DIAC application through an agent, eventhough I gave all the required papers to agent before one month they submitted the paper only on last Friday (Feb 5), so I guess my application would not be received by DIAAC before Feb 8. Before Feb 8 changes, I was having total 130 points including MODL's 15 points. Now as the MODL has been revoked my total points has come down to 115, when looking for the other alternatives one of my friend advised me to reattend the IELTS exam and try to score 7 in all bands (previous IELTS scores, L-7.5, R-6, W-7,S-6.5) by which I could get another 10 points and also can get total 125 points which is 5 points more than the required minimum 120 points for independent skilled Visa. I would like to know whether is it possible to ask the DIAC to consider the new IELTS marks once after filing the application to DIAC. Please advice me.
  7. Hi All, I had filed 175 visa offshore in Oct 2007 and i was in MODL list ( SAP) , through agent . My agent advised that take IELTS immediately after filing in Oct 2007 , I took the same in Dec 2007 and submitted the results in Jan 2008 to Immigration. Now I am being informed by my agent that my visa has been refused by the case officer on the basis that I took IELTS after filing of application. Please advise if there is some regulations changes in Immigration . Also What should be my course of action now. My agent is saying that now since the whole fees is also gone and now we need to apply afresh after taking ACS assessment again . Also i find my skill in critical list so what should i do . I am in big soup on this and am i the only case as i see that many persons in Oct 2007 would have applied for visa without taking IELTS prior to application. Please suggest.
