We are planning a reccie next March, ideally for up to 6 months. The ETA (976) and evisitor (651) visas only seem to allow stays of up to 3 months at a time. I know you can leave Oz and come back in again, but we have 3 children so would rather not. Does anyone know if these visas can be extended easily? If not, I guess we have to apply for a 6-month tourist visa (676), right? Does anyone know if the 110AUD fee is the same for children/infants too? Many thanks!

Hi All We recently returned from activiting our visa subclass 475. We are sponsored regionally by the SAus gov, so its a 3 year temp visa: Visa granted 1 July 2009 (had to be activated before 10 Mar 2010) Activated 6 Mar 2010 - so the visa will run until 5 Mar 2013 My understanding is that I need to live in SAus for 2 years of which I have to work for 1 year in order to apply for PR Predicament - we need all the time we can get before we move to SAus, so what are our options? I have been told that you can apply for an extension which works out to 4 years from the date on which the visa was granted, which means the visa will expire not on 5 Mar 2013, but rather on 30 Jun 2013. Question 1) Is all of this this correct? Question 2) Can this be assumed as given, I.e. can we wait to enter SAus on 2 years prior to the extended date in order to still make the 2 year requirement? Or MUST we still enter prior to the non-extended date. Even though its just 3 months more, it will really help of we can assume the extension as given and therefore only move prior to 30 June 2011 (as opposed to 5 March 2011). :goofy:

Hi everyone, I was just wondering whether anyone knew, if you are on a working holiday visa, would getting an apprenticeship enable you to extend your visa? or even change it? If so, what would this cost? My boyfriend is currently, back in the UK and returning to Australia in 2 weeks. He is hoping to extend his visa, by either completing three months seasonal work, or getting an apprenticeship. He is a really hard working individual, and very passionate and eager to stay in Australia, if anyone could give some advice, I would be very grateful.. Thanks Coral x

hi,again i am in brisbane on a evisa and can only stay for 3 months at a time,(i have 6 weeks left) i am wanting to stay in oz with my girlfriend and my 8year old boy(from previous relationship) will be getting a perspective marraige visa but cant apply yet as she waiting for divorce which should be final at the end of my six weeks, i am aware i can extend my visa but that can affect me applying for my pmv, so am i better off going for a trip to nz at end of my 3 months then back in to oz? i would rather apply for extension on visa because of the costs involved in trip to nz but dont want to mess up future pmv ! mmm confused.com lol also is it as easy just flying out of oz then coming back in and automatically getting another 3 months, cheers confused chris

Hi there I was wondering if anyone can advise or maybe point me in the right direction to get infomation. My family have a 175 visa, that is valid until July this year, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, they do not think they will make the deadline. I have tried to find out on the oz gov immgration website, to get any info, to see if you can get an existing visa extended, if so what the circumstances would be and the length of an extention.:unsure: If anyone could give some advice, I would appreciate it immensely. Hi I have a PR visa which runs out in Jan 2012. I lived in Australia for 18mths about 2yrs ago and wish to return in 2013. I am visiting Australia in March this year for 2 weeks. I dont think this would give me enough time to apply for extension whilst there but not sure. My husband is Australian so it is a spousal visa but it would be good to get some more time on it as money and timing are not right just now. Has anyone had a similar situation or have any advice. My working visa runs out in a month and im looking to extend it for another year. Problem is I will only have completed the 88 days required with about 2 days before expiry. Does anyone know how long it takes to process? I didnt want to lose my job whilst waiting for the visa to be approved.

Hi everyone, My current 457 visa is coming to end in April and I have just got another 1 year contract doing exactly the same job for the same organisation - a government organisation. Do I need to go through the whole 457 application again or is there some easier way to extend. Many thanks!

Hi we are flying out at the end of the year and the in laws are coming with us with a view of later coming back to stay on a CPV. They wanted to stay for about 6 months. How "easy" is it to extend the ETA to 6 months ? Anyone done it? JOHN

We travelled out to Australia in September but our daughterdidnt come with us as she wanted to stay and complete her college course!! Does anyone know whether the date on her visa can be extended to allow her to get her first stamp done after she finishes her course!! Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!
