    New Year's Eve Dinner Cruise

Hi all We're in Melbourne going to Sydney for New Year's Eve for the first time. Wanted to go for a dinner cruise so we can watch the fireworks on the Harbour. Any recommendations where to scope prices and availability? We haven't found anything less than $450 per head. Thanks all and Happy Holidays!
  2. Hi there, We are looking at chartering a boat with some friends for New Years Eve in Sydney Harbour. The people who have taken places already are made up of English and Swedish. Everyone is really good fun and it should be a really good night!!! We have filled 30 spaces out of 40, the cost will be $300 per head if we can fill the full 40 allocated spots on the boat. It is a BYO boat and it also has a BBQ onboard, so once the boat cost is paid for the other costs shouldn't be too high. If you are interested in joining us or would like anymore information? Please drop me a message and I'll forward on all the details. Cheers, Pete & Gill

    New Years Eve Sydney

Hi, I just wanted to ask around about what the best option is for New Years Eve in Sydney. My parents are coming over and we were thinking of either getting a picnic spot at the botanical gardens or going to one of the islands. Will we be able to get a free spot at the gardens if we go early? I'm curious to hear from anyone who has spent NYE in Sydney and what you'd recommend doing. We don't want to pay a huge amount of money for a ticket, which rules out a lot of things! Just somewhere with a good atmosphere and a view of the harbour. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Karina
  8. Hi Just wondering if anyone would like to meet for a coffee after checking in at Heathrow? Is there anyone flying with Cathay Pacific to Perth next Monday? Hope to hear from someone soon

    New Years Eve Locations

This is a request. I can't decide if Sydney or Melbourne is the place to be for New Years Eve. The TV always shows the firefowrks on Sydney Harbour every year but my brother, who lives in Melbourne, tells me that New Years eve in Melbourne is far superior. (He's lived in both cities but in Melbourne longer) Can anyone shed some light please on which is a Must thing to do and see in Oz for New Years Eve Please? thanks

    New Year's Eve!! Melbourne??

Hi, I arrived in Melbourne a few days ago and will soon be moving out to Gippsland to start my new adventure! Is there a group of people having a night out in Melbourne that I can tag along with? I'm very easy going, love meeting new people and will enjoy any social event. I'm based in Chinatown but am sure I can get to most places near the centre! Seasons greetings and Happy New Year.
