Hey guys, At this moment I am trying to make sense like everybody else about all the visa changes. I was wondered if somebody has a bit information about the following. As we all know hairdressing has gone to the short skilled list. My employer was going to sponsor me for a 457. But because of the recent changes and no outlook on a PR. we are deciding to go for a Direct entry 186 instead. I have only 3 months left on my study visa now. And with all of the extra requirement like extra skills assessments I has a very little time frame to collect this all as well. I would apply for the 186 in September 2017. They say that a 186 takes about a year to process. So what happens in march 2018 as they not allow the short skilled list for direct entry 186 Anymore. Does anybody has any idea about this ? I try to call immigration the other day but was unsuccessful to get anybody on the line. And did anybody completed a TRA and a extra prl in less then 3 months ?? Love to read your comments! Thanks
kslopes1 posted a topic in Visa ChatHi there - I need help! I have been working for my employer on a 457 for 2.5 years now. In December I lodged the employer nomination part of the visa application via my work's designated Migration expert - this was at their request and at my own expense. To help save myself some money I decided to lodge the 2nd part of the application myself via the Immi online site, however, I am very keen to not get anything incorrect and therefore would appreciate any help you can offer in regards to some queries I have regarding the online application. Has anyone recently done this application and know the answer......? - On page 13 of the online application, it asks for past 10 years work history. Can anyone advise if should add in my current work (the job I am being nominated through)? Reason I ask is because it states "Is this employment related to the nominated position", and also there is no option on the date part to advise that this is a present role. Only asks for dates from and to. - In terms of documents required, I have already my passport & birth certificate verified by a JP. I have my police certificate from UK & NSW. Do I also need passport photos? On a checklist I found online it states that "two recent clear scanned passport-size photographs. Each photo should be accompanied by the identity of the subject. Print the name of the person on the back of each photograph.". Sorry if this sound silly, but how does each photo be accompanied by the identity of subject?! - Also the checklist advises I should give evidence of working for my employer for at least 2 years as a subclass 457. Is that not part of the employer nomination application? How do I provide this as evidence in my application? My apologies if all these questions sound easy, I am probably over thinking ensuring I submit the right information. Cheers for your help. - Is there anything else I am missing?
dactanhan posted a topic in Visa ChatDear all! I have electronically applied for ENS 186 on 29/08/2013 (Nomination lodged 11/07/2013, granted 12/09/2013). Today, my CO contact me to let me know that I need to do medical test. However, she cannot provide me a HAP ID, without it I cannot book medical test with Medibank (did phone them to see if I can use TFN instead, they said no as this is a recently applied rule). I response to the CO, saying I need a HAP ID. She said that COs can no longer generate HAP IDs, the applicants have to generate it themselves. There is only two ways I can imagine a HAP ID could be generated: - Via My Health Declaration http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/my-health-declarations.htm . But the website specifically says that it should only be used for the one who has NOT applied for a visa. So it does not apply to my case. - Via an "Organize your health examination" link in the electronic visa application. However, this option is NOT AVAILABLE in my visa application at the moment. What should I do in this case? Thank you all very much!
