Just got an email from my new employer saying my 457 was lodged today!!! Just logged on to the immi website to track it and there we are.....aaaaaahhhh......feels super real now! Excited and cr**pin myself all at the same time! They think it will take a max of 8wks but hopefully it'll be less as they want me to start work 28th Feb and that won't give me much time to book a flight for us and dogs! I'll keep u all updated! eeek! Young couple needed advice on a lively area to live in Brisbane near the coast!
Guest posted a topic in Queensland
Hi everyone! We are a newly married couple in our twenties with no children and are planning a move to Brisbane in August. My husband has a job at Brisbane airport so we would like to be no further than 45 mins to an hour of the airport but other than that our requirements are to be near the coast (- a nice beach if possible!) and would also like to be somewhere a bit lively (just a few local bars would be nice). We have been searching online but we don't really know where to start, many of the posts on here relate to findng good schools for children which is obviously not a concern of ours really, so any advice greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance, Nina and Gareth :cute:
