  1. OK , so this is my first post and really wanted some opinions on my dilemma!! I am on a 457 Visa in the General Accountant category, my year is nearly up which I am going to include for 5 points for my permanent Visa at the start of January. My company pays my health insurance and I am 6 weeks pregnant I claimed from the health insurance yesterday and they forwarded the claim to my employer and told them I was pregnant without my permission!! Today I received a letter from my Manager stating that they are changing my job title to Accounts payable officer and my duties have been changed and they will need have contacted immigration! I have not changed my job in any way and have been doing the same duties and role for the last year and half and this is not changing any time soon. My manager said their reason for doing this was because of the restructuring of the company. I’m worried incase I lose my visa and therefore my 5 points! Any of your thoughts would be great, I do not think I have been treated fairly by my employer and if I lose my job could I claim for unfair dismissal? Thanks alot!!!:arghh:

Good morning/evening As i'd already started buying christmas presants for the kids and we'll be over in a few weeks, i'll need to bring them in a suitcase, unwrapped so curtoms can see, should i keep the receipts to show them will i be charged taxes? The container wont be there in time for christmas and they are only toys eg hm armed forces and barbie, disney princess dolls! I'll do the remainder of my shopping once we've arrived, i want to make christmas very special with moving as my little girl is convinced it wont be christmas as they'll be no snow or chimney for santa :wink: thanks, Lisa x
  3. Hi, Hoping someone can help. We have 176 visa and living in WA. Have been here nearly 4 weeks. I'm sure there were some conditions of living here as part of the state sponsorship, such as registering your address on arrival/completing surveys etc....... Has anybody done this or know what/where I have to go to do this?? Thanks Guys
  4. Other than a notary public who else is authorized to perform notarial duties in the UK? Have several documents that need certifying. Thanks in advance.

    PCs and custom duties

    Looking get a PC when I move to Melbourne in 10 days however prices seem high $1200+ for a reasonable PC however PCs in UK are cheap and exchange rate sucks so - if I bought in UK and shipped over what duty, etc would I pay?
