  1. just as the title suggests really i want mobile broadband for first month or so on pay as you go when we arrive until we are ready to get a contract. I have a 3 pay as you dongle i'm currently using and it is quite new being hspa+ enabled, getting downloads of over 5Mbs. Can i take it over with me and just get a new sim on whatever network is needed or would it need unlocking like mobile phones, or would it just not be compatible full stop??? thanks Sarah

    Pre-paid mobile and Dongle

Hello I’ve been in Australia for the last 10 months and now back home in the UK. I have the following items I need to sell to raise some cash after I have spent a fortune. I have the following for sale. 1 x Telstra pre-paid mobile phone! It has a camera and text messaging facility. It is in good condition and works a treat. The phone comes with charger and instruction book. Telstra are one of the big mobile phone companies. 1 x Telstra pre-paid mobile broadband! In perfect working order This dongle cost me $70 alone and I have $58 credit on it until May 2012. All for £60 including P&P to UK address. Please email me or inbox me and we can sort out payment. I’m happy to do it on Ebay or Paypal. Pictures available if needed.
  3. Hi, Since we've moved from our temp accomodation to rented we've little to no....mostly no service on our vodaphone dongle. If anyone has a Telstra dongle they are no longer using and can lend us until we get our broadband in we'd be very grateful. We're in Ormiston and can collect and of course return when finished with it. Many Thanks Louise

    Internet dongle

We are getting to Sydney by the end of the week and we are going to need to get mobile internet as soon as we can (a dongle). We have had a look around and you have ones like 3 and Virgin, but we were wondering which would be best for service and coverage. At the moment we are looking for a dongle as we will not have a land line and will be moving between houses possibly within the first few months.
  6. Hi all, after a little advice! In layman's terms whats is a Dongle? Will it give me internet connection for the laptop whilst on our travels (when and where)? in other words how will it help me. Need help, have read internet and even more confused now! Thanks Leila xxx
  7. is anyone using skype on a mobile broadband dongle we use skype 2-3 times a week for about an hour a time. It seems to be cheaper to have a dongle instead of home phone line + internet (we've got mobiles for calls within oz) but does anyone know how much data skype uses with or without video. I'm hoping to get away with 2gb per month but don't know if this is realistic taking skype usage into consideration.
  8. We are due to leave soon and are desp trying to get someone to take over our 3 wireless broadband modem contract. only 6 mth left on contrct and willing to give the dongle away free. just need 100 point check ie passport, driver licence, medicare card, bank acct etc. currently on 6gb a mth for $39 a mth. good coverage never drops out, can use anywhere not just at home.
