Guest posted a topic in VictoriaMyself and my girlfriend are looking to come to Melbourne next year on a working holiday Visa. I work in IT and my girlfriend works as beauty therapist so im sure we can get some kind of work in the city to help fund things. I really like the look of the new modern "units" in the docklands area. What i wanted to know is, is it possible to rent out a place in that area when im only on a working holiday visa? Also how long are the contracts on places like that, alot of places in the Uk being 6 month. there prices seem to be about $375 a week which doesn't seem to much to be in the thick of things. Also if anyone has any ideas on how much money to bring for the whole experience? i had an idea of about 8k for us both. All posts and replies appreciated
hi, just started looking into 'where to live' if I am working in Docklands. I am wondering if williamstown or port melbourne is a good place to be. Coming over with my other half and daughter (9 mnths) and looking for nice area with a sensible commute to docklands. Also how easy is it to find furnished 2/3 bed rental as on a sponsored visa and not going to buy. Furnished seems to hard to find, though. Should be in Melbourne by October.:spinny:
