How hard is it to migrate?

How hard is it to migrate to Australia? I'm an 18 year old that in 3 years is planning to move to Australia. June of 2016 I spent 14 days there and fell in love with the country. I'm currently getting my associates in IT at a technical college which should help. Open to recommendations as to what I should do to make it a better and easier experience. Working holiday visa for a few years, waiting a few years, etc... let me know!
  2. Hi, I went for medical and panel doctor used ehealth. During the fill up the ehealth through internet, Doctor could fill up my form. But the doctor did not find any entry in the system for my spouse in the system . Doctor used the TRN number & Birth date of my spouse. Doctor says, it's happen sometimes and will inform me later after he contacting with DIAC. Did you face similar issue previous. BR, Morshed
  3. Hi I have a partner visa which is temporary at the moment. It should be converted to permanent in the next few months but I have had no luck getting a permanent job despite my visa saying I have full work rights. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm a librarian with many years experience and whilst you do need certain skills which many people do not have, its not rocket science!! I have applied for many jobs which I have plenty of experience and qualifications only to be told after interview that I dont have enough experience or too much. I was told recently, despite having over 10 years experience and proof of it and excellent references. I am finding this extremely frustrating as some of them have been dream jobs and excellent pay which would set us up for a life here. I have not had much trouble getting interviews and been interviewd for most jobs I have applied for but I get the impression that this is just an excuse to racially discriminate. My current contract is finishing at the end of May and so far I have been lucky in only being unemployed for a week but until my permanent residency is approved I fear that I am not going to get any job now and I have no idea how long that is going to take. Trying to get a job in government related fields has been impossible and the APS rules state that only Australian citizens can apply (although they do have discretion to waive them). The irony of this is that my case officer for approving my visa in the UK was neither Australian or British but from somewhere else in the EU, so this policy gets changed when it suits the Australian authorities. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Cheers Mark
  4. Hi everyone, I am moving to Perth in early September and have applied to a couple of nursing recruitment agencies and for a couple of nursing jobs but have heard nothing back from any of them. I do not need sponsership as I already have permenant residency through my OH who is an Aussie. I was wondering if any other nurses are having any difficulties finding a job in Perth? I have been qualified for 13 years and currently work in haemodialysis so I do have lots of experience so I'm starting to get a bit concerned. Is it just me or is anyone else having the same response (or lack of it!!!) Thanks Jen:unsure:

    difficulty proving skill

Has anyone out there had any trouble proving their skill? I've got enough points and my job's on the SOL, but I don't have a qualification so it's back to school for me! Hope to apply in a year or so...
