Need some reassurance! Gotta wait 5 years until I can move there.....How depressing!

:cry: I'm just having a little rant.....but the thought of having to wait 5 years just kills me! I have to wait 5 years because I need to start and finish my nursing degree, then get a years experience....:-(.....think you'll all have to put up with me until then moaning about how much I wanna be in Australia!! Okay, rant over, feel a bit better now lol. -
Hi guys, I am presently in Singapore. Got my 175 Gen skilled visa approved about 3 months ago. I have been trying hard to land myself in a job, such that I can prepare to move with my family to either Melbourne, Perth, Sydney, Brisbane or any place in Australia, where I can get a job. But almost all the recruiting agencies say that I can contact them after I move in. Without a guaranteed offer, I find it hard to move. Also when I move to a place - say Melbourne, I lose somewhat the flexibility, if I get a job, say in Perth. I guess some of you would have faced the same problem. Share your experiences on how easy / difficult it was for you to find a job By the way I am an Electronics and instrumentation engineer with more than 18 years experience, presently working as an Engineering manager in a multi-national in Singapore. I have posted messages on here before about my parents' reaction to us moving to Oz and I know it always provokes many responses as lots of you are in the same boat - but yesterday we got great news that we passed TRA and realised we didnt really have anyone to share with us how happy and relieved we were - and then today my sister has told me that my dad has now worked out how many times he would get to us before he dies if we moved to Oz next year!! I just cant believe I am causing so much pain. I think it will be unbearable...what can I do??:sad:
