Hi, Im new to the forum - I just moved from Essex to Melbourne and have been here 3 weeks. I really like the city and am in work and enjoying living here. Unfortunately this week part of a filling fell out my tooth and the tooth now hurts. This is a pain because I could have had it replaced in England for 50 quid on the NHS. So my questions are: - how do i find a dentist in Melbourne (tried google and its not helping)? - are there any cheap ways to get dentistry here (eg - can i get medicare as a new arrival, as I've got Aussies in London who have been on the NHS) Any help would be appreciated. James
Hi, Any advice on the general costing of a visit to a dentist in Queensland? We are currently looking at private health insurance cover which we require in order to apply for the 457 visa and are weighing up which policy to go for i.e the standard hospital cover or one with extras such as dentistry, optical and physio. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks Bear:wacko:
Question for those already living the dream......is the cost of dentistry much cheaper than in the UK? I need to have a lot of work done and it will cost me thousands :yikes: which will leave us a bit short on cash for emigrating. Hubby thinks it'll be cheaper in Oz and wants me to wait. Any advice would be appreciated.
