Hi all let me just say any feeback is good feedback. I am from the uk and my partner is from oz, we met when I was on a 1 yr working holiday visa in oz, we dated and travelled oz and nz and now the uk fore the past 17 monthes with the proof required to be granted a defacto visa, However on my partners form it asks how you will sponsor your partner if you are applying for this visa outside oz. She has family that will house us on arrival (till we find our own accommodation through savings and finding work) and has stated this in there stat dec. she also doesn't have a job in Australia because we have been travelling tho we are going to state that we have had no problem finding work in a verious number of differen country in the whole 17 monthes of travelling and that we as she have savings. Do you think they will give us av visa if she has no home (rented or owned) or her own and has not got a constant flow of money through work. Not really sure if I worded this right but I hope you get were I'm coming from!? Thanks
Hi! At the moment, my spouse and I are applying for the SPOUSE VISA (Subclass 820) - in our initial application, we included: *Photographs (Me and my spouse at key events like birthdays, Valentines day etc as well as at days out, and with family both in England AND in Australia, spanning the whole period of our relationship) *Postcards *Letters (From us to each other, and from family to us) *Greeting cards (Christmas, Birthday, anniversary, Valentines Day and general & ones we gave to each other just because we wanted to) *Invitations (Wedding, and christening) * Flight itineraries showing that we have flown together (To get to Oz) as well as showing the one period of time that I was away from my Spouse (Returned for a pre-booked family holiday and to raise funds for this application) *A bank statement of mine (from England) showing dates and places of money being withdrawn in Oz As well as statutory declarations from both my spouses parents and everything else they requested. Recently, we received a letter we provided 'insufficient evidence to substantiate our claim' and to provide more evidence of us having a true defacto relationship, which (as suggested by them) can be evidenced by providing: *Evidence of joint... Bank accounts rent agreements terms of our wills insurance policies utility bills loans credit cards etc.... As well as providing all the evidence which we already gave them once. The problem is, we cannot provide any of the suggested things, simply because we don't have them. I didn't know I was even allowed to be joint ANYTHING until I got this letter, and our financial situation makes it impossible for us to have any joint bank accounts etc, since basically, we don't have the money left over to put into a bank - my spouse is on a pension and I do not work yet. We do not have wills, and all the rent, utilities and anything to do with the house we are in, are in my spouses name. All the money that I contributed to the household come straight from my savings in my English bank account, which now has run out of cash (I didn't know I could work here, so I had to go back to the UK, work, pay for my flight and use the money left to help with the daily expenses) We were given the '28 days and 7 working days' time limit to provide all this additional stuff, and I am stumped as to what we could provide. I have managed to secure New cards and photos from my 21st birthday 1 Statutory Declaration from a friend. Can anyone think of ANYTHING which could be of any use we could provide? ANYTHING AT ALL!! We are in SUCH a true and continuing relationship but we cant prove that with bills and stuff. I cannot be away from my love :frown: Thank you!!!! LynzLove
Hey guys, brand new to this, well making a thread, been readin a lot lately Basically i fly to oz on the 11th feb, my girlfriend is from australia and now i just wanna be with her asap, i'm going on a tourist visa and plan to lodge for a de facto visa on shore Heres my dilemma we've been together since 17th febuary 2008, it was a weird situation as i knew her brother from travelling and when i went to stay with them on 29th january 2008 i met them and then i met her, and basically we got attached pretty quickly, after meeting a few times we went out by ourself and from the night we first kissed onwards i basically moved in, obviously having no ties to rent etc.. its been awesome, i came home for my 21st and mums wedding in april for 3 weeks, then i came home again october 10th and she followed november 15th, she's just gone back 3 weeks ago. anyway i have no evidence of living with her for all that time apart from a wedding invitation from my sister and a doctors letter, but i do have bank statements addressed to her parents house, and up until april 13th ( her birthday) we only have one photo as i bought her a new camera for her. so from then on we have been paris london rome and liverpool and also blue mountains in sydney, we have photos since april, will this matter?, some letters, lots of stat decs, i have some statements where i put money in her account and she has phone bills with evidence she texted me a lot lol, but only since around april too as i didnt have a phone which is dumb. will this be enough? we're completely in love and she's just got us our own unit in sydney. just worried that the first 2 months seems not believeable and worried about going in on a tourist visa in the first place also does anyone know how long the onshore visa takes about? and how long it takes to be able to work afterwards? thanks guys
