    How do Dads manage??

I going to be separated from the wife and kids for a few months while I set myself up in Brisbane. I'm leaving behind 3 kids who will be 7,3 and 1 by the time I go. I'll be apart for about 5 months, and that is the bit I'm not looking forward to. How do other dads manage?? Ronan
  2. Hi All, I was just wondering if any of the Dads out there are interested in a Father, son day? (daughters welcome) I thought it might be nice for us Dads to get together in a great day out. I was thinking about a fishing charter? At the minute I don't have any fixed dates but it would be around November. The costs are $80 pp with a min of 8 people, if we can get 16 or more people the cost drops down to $60 pp For that we get a 5 hour tour (7am till lunch time) with a cooked breakfast, tea, coffee, bait and line, etc. At the minute all I need is a name and how many would be going. If you read this could you bump it up Cheers. BTW the charter would leave from Williamstown, Victoria
  3. Hi Hope there is someone that can help me. Me my husband and 3 girls are in the process of migrating to perth, my eldest daughters whis is 11 still see's her dad and his name is on her birth certificate but he does not pay maintenance and by english law has no parental responsability (she was born 1999 & we were not married). Does anyone know what i should send with our visa application to surport this? I spoke to Australia House last year and they said a stat dec confiriming no PR would be fine which i got from a solicitor, but now after all this time my agent thinks different. Does anyone know how i stand in regards to the australian law? Any help would be great :arghh:
  4. Hi sorry just posted this on the end of a thread, just new and getting to grips with the forum. Anyway I have full custody of my two children who are 3 and 4 years old and i currently live in the Uk with my New partner. The childrens dad lives in spain and sees them generally once a month. Am I going to have problems legally emigrating to australia as a family, is he within his right to legally object to this move lots of thanks x
  5. I'm a builder from Hertfordshire with a six-month-old son and am looking for other dads to have a few beers and a game of pool with from time to time. Why should the mums have all the social life?? Most of the lads I work with are younger and I'm too old (37!!) to go out drinking all night with them, but not too old to be wearing slippers and drinking Horlicks... If anyone wants to meet up or knows of any existing meet ups, please get in touch. Cheers martin

    StepSons, natural Dads.

Can anyone give advice as regards migrating with my stepsons. My wife has 2 sons from previous relationships. Both have different fathers and I want to know our rights if their natural fathers decide to stand in our way. Our eldest (12 yrs)sons father has no parental rights though his name is on the birth certificate. Our youngest's (10yrs) father has gained parental rights over him and has his name on the birth certificate. My wife has custody of both boys. Can the boys natural dads stop us going, even when its to give their son's a better upringing and quality of life?
