Hi iron chef (and others) I am looking for some help, I have a via approval to bring my car in. By the end of this week I have a decision to make on whether I still bring the car, if I do work to it in the uk or not. The issue is, I have a 2005 plate Mercedes which has a speedo as follows ( I have photo and can send): Outer analogue dial, showing MPH only inner digital dial, always shows (but small) speed in KPH. I can also change digital inner display to show KPH digitally, but can change at any time from speed being displayed to temp/radio etc. Will my speedo meet ADR compliance or does it need changing? Mercedes are being useless and can't answer this and also now tell me that they don't know the right part number to get a KPH speedo which will fit my car....can hardly believe it, but as you can see if I bring the car and it fails I will have a nightmare with Mercedes and perhaps not be able to change it, resulting in shipping the car bAck to the uk. Not something I want to contemplate. Can anyone categorically tell me if it will or won't pass in its current state? Finegrs crossed in anticipation of some help, thanks! vicki

Hello all. I am a managing consultant for Big 4 company trying to define my occupation class for a VISA application. My qualifications include the Full Financial Planning Certificate, Certificate in Mortgages plus various others including G60 (Pensions). I have worked in various compliance officer / consultant roles. Does anyone know how this will be classified as I am reluctant to use any assessment companys. Thanks, Shaun

Hi Everyone Any information or help would be greatly received. We moved here on a 457 and then we were lucky enough to have an employer that was willing to transfer straight to an 856. We have been on a bridging visa now since sept 2011 and been told that we now have been allocated a case officer. However, last week out of the blue we had a visit from DIAC, this was called a 'compliance visit'. They wanted to talk to me and my employer asking lots of questions regarding what I do, on a daily basis. Then spoke to my employer without me there asking about their finances etc and wanting more detailed information. Has anyone experienced a 'compliance visit' and if so what was the outcome. Just really panicking now that they will find something and send us back to the UK. Oh how stressfull this all is. Makes you think was it all worth it. ANY info would be helpful. Thanks sharon and carl.
