Looking for Sydney friends for tea, cake, chats and wine :-)
SarB posted a topic in Socialising Hobbies Clubs Sport
Hi there, We've been here a few years and met some amazing people through this fantastic site before, but over time people have left to go back to the UK or circumstances have changed. I would love to meet some new people for chats over tea/coffee and cake or wine, go to the movies, hang out in a park or at the beach etc. Whether you are new here or been here a while, then please get in touch! I live in Lane Cove but happy to meet wherever is convenient. Thanks for reading this far! Sarah -

Hi, I'm Jo, I used to be a regular on this site but haven't been on for a while :embarrassed: I've lived on the Gold Coast on and off since September 2007, (ping pong Pom!), and would love to meet some more new people. I'm 35, don't work, and now my youngest is at school I find myself talking to my dog for company! I live in Maudsland (Park Lake), just behind Pacific Pines, so please pm me if you are free and would like to have a coffee.

ezzie posted a topic in Socialising Hobbies Clubs Sport
We're a group of women who love getting together for movies, meals and a good chat over coffee. We also get out and about to concerts, theatre and events, always more fun when there's a group going. We even have activities for kids and partners. Most activities based in the Hills District or Northern Sydney. PM me for more details. -

As he's currently working long hours and 6 days a week and as I've finished sorting the house out (!) I wondered of any forumites fancy meeting up to explore the local coffee shops round Bowral, Berrima, Mittagong way...can't do them all on my own:biggrin: Cheers! -

That's right, a thread about tea vs coffee. A bit like cats and dogs. For the record, I'm a tea (and cats) person. I love tea (and cats, obviously). I drink about 5-10 cups a day of hot, STRONG, sweet (1.5 generous spoons sugar) NORMAL (none of the Earl Grey Lapsang Su-bollo@#$ for me thanks) tea, NOT too milky. I don't trust anyone with making me a decent cuppa tea, except my wife, and me. Anyone else is just too risky. In fact, I'd rather have my appendix removed by a hoodie on community service than trust a stranger to make me tea. Which begs the question, am I a tea ponce, or just a bit of a nutter? Are you a coffee ponce, or a tea ponce, or both, or neither....? Yeah I know it's not exactly an intellectual debate but......

I have a Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, can I get the T-discs in Oz, if not what coffee machines do they use there that we have in the UK?
-
Does anyone know if you can take Nespresso coffee capsules into Australia with your shipment or does the breach customs laws? thanks
-
I didn't have a huge amount of friends when I moved away from Oz to the UK, and now I am back am wanting to greatly expand my social network as I did in the UK and met some awesome peoples there. Plus would help me to have English friends for when English hubby arrives! lol I can get into the city most days Susan

Guest posted a topic in Socialising Hobbies Clubs Sport
Just moved from Adelaide to NSW, which I absolutely love. But I have left all my friends behind. My partner works in the city during the day, and Ive pretty much set up the new house and Im all organised. So Im getting a bit bored. Im looking for work but until then Id really like to meet up with anyone who likes a good natter and a spot of shopping. Im 36 (37 on Sunday), got no kids but love them, and live in Kincumber. A happy to travel to meet up with like minded people. Hope to hear from someone soon Louise -
Hello  Sometimes, on my way home on the train, I get an sms from my lovely wife...."Love, are ye on the way?, I'm bored here! XXX" Hmm, then I know that we would be heading out somewhere relaxing, dining out, ice-cream, coffee, you know...or just for a walk. For example, we've been to Oxford Street in Bulimba, South Bank and Raby Bay in the evening, which is the type of atmosphere we would be looking at. I would love to know more areas/streets like that, so please, let me know if some place comes to your mind. Ideally not bang into the city, I 'd hate to keep looking for a parking! Cheers B!K3R
