Dear fellow PIO's, Through our journey we found lots of conflicting information about IELTS test and whether it is needed or not. So, please, a bug bear of mine on here. Hello poms, I've started this thread in order to share some usefull information about where to look for the freight when you have landed in Melbourne. If anyone has an experience please put it down here, I think It would have a huge value for anyone looking where to start.:yes: I shortly describe mine situation-we have just shiped our Personal effects through DHL(by air), but they declined to do a customs procedures. They just said that they deliver a freight to Tullamarine airport and then you are on your own. Oh, and they said that we must collect our freight from Quantas terminal... I thought it would be from DHL terminal.:wacko: But here comes the paperwork, and I have no any Idea where to start and how to clear goods . Some tips would be very appreciated. Where to go, what to bring, how much time does all processing takes. Please note that it is an Air Freight. Cheers, Irmaal:wink:

We are shipping our car over to Perth and is due to arrive in a month. Can anyone recommend a good, reliable but reasonably priced clearing agent? Thanks in advance. :biggrin:

Sent 6 large boxes of my belongings with transglobal express...who quoted me very cheap price by air and have to say, are very helpful. They sub contract..so DHL actually shipped my goods and deliver them on a door to door service...problem is they lost my paperwork and my goods 10 days later are still in customs in Perth airport!! Nightmare! have faxed paperwork via transglobal again to Perth, who sent it via email and then Perth customs couldn't read the format, so they sent it again in a different format... Hopefully it will now be cleared without any more problems?! (fingers crossed)! I made sure to have extra copies of all paperwork required and took every wooden item out. I am rather concerned that customs may be holding my stuff to then send me out a nice big bill for storage or something...has anyone else had any problems with a clearance delay at all, especially at Perth airport??? Im just hoping when they clear my goods and my stuff is finally delivered to my Aussie address that all 6 boxes are there in one piece!! :arghh:
