  1. On 19 July the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship announced the inclusion of Perth in the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS). The minister also agreed to include Perth as a regional area for family sponsored applications through the regional General Skilled Migration (GSM) programs. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/_pdf/regional-perth-aug-2011.pdf
  2. Hi! I have been sent a form (finally) from my new employers, in order to get my nurse salary level confirmed. It's basically to be a list of jobs, but also asks for evidence. Now I have a few different things for different jobs. I have a headed reference for last job which states length of service. I have a letter from HR for my previous job stating time at post. For the jobs before that, (and there is many!) I have a statment fron NHS Pensions stating all my NHS working dates. Does anyone know if this evidence will be enough? Or do I need to contact lots of different HR departments? (not something I want to start doing a week before my flight ). Even more confusingly I have a stat dec that was signed in Australia for my first five years experience, will I be able to use this as well? Not sure some of my previous health boards even exist! I was a baby when I graduated, so its been 18 years! :biglaugh: Thanks for any advice Gill x

    Help With Classification Please

I've been reading the forum for a while and wonder if you can help me. My husband is a scaffolder by trade, so no hope of using this skill to obtain a visa. We have a son who is an Australian citizen, however this doesn't help due to balance of family. My husband has been in a supervisory position for some years and his job involves all that is stated in the classification for Construction Project Manager (1191-11) and with regards to skill level this is what it says: The entry requirement for this occupation is a bachelor degree or higher qualification OR at least 5 years relevant experience. I have looked at the VETACCESS web site and they state they are only concerned with qualifications, so how do we apply using his 5 years relevant experience? I'm totally confused. I am no help, as I have no skill and I'm over 45.
  6. Hi all - anxious here I'm going through the process of a 457 visa. The x-ray hospital would not tell me the results of our xrays, only to say "Nothing major wrong" Has anyone else had that? I also had a receipt that said xray A (£x) and xray B (£y) (both different prices!!). The paranoid element of me has read into this meaning one result is A and one B. What does having a B mean - refusal? Don't know what to think:wacko: Jonny

    IT- Skills Classification

Help !!! I'm trying to fill in the visa forms but not sure what skills category I fall into. I was an IT consultant (Programme Mgmt mainly) for 10 year then I moved into industry earlier this year where I continue to run IT Programmes (suppose its more of an internal IT consultancy role). So on the skills classification, am I: - a management consultant (50 points) - a business and IT professional (50 points) - IT Officer - Computing Professionals (60 points) - something else ? The extra points are crucial to hit the 110 needed. Also - once I pick one, does that restrict what work I can do once I get over. Thanks
