    Spitting Image to return

Spitting Image is set to return to TV screens as it is remade for an American audience by the network behind Game of Thrones. Programme maker HBO has US president Donald Trump in its sights - with an insider saying there 'has never been more material for political satirists'. The network is thought to be spending millions of pounds on the project and it will be shown on Sky TV in the UK. A source told The Sun: 'Preparation on the famous faces has already begun.' Between 1984 and 1996 a regular audience of 15 million tuned in to watch the mockery of politicians, pop stars, sports personalities, religious figures and world leaders. The show won ten BAFTAs and two Emmys.

  5. Hi all, I''m currently in my final year of my degree and have aspirations of visiting and then hopefully moving to Australia. I know you have probably had MILLIONS of daft English guys like me asking about spiders and am sick of people like me, but your honest thoughts would be really appreciated by me. I've got a bit of a fear of spiders, so knowing that Australia have their fair share does concern me slightly! What I want to know is, how often do you get them in your house? I've noticed huntsmen tend to be more 'house based spiders' than other types. You can give me your honest answers, don't hold back and don't exaggerate, just tell me as it is. Also, how have you all found living in Australia? All of your feedback will be a massive help! Thanks guys! -Liam

  7. Hi All Well we have landed in Sydney and things are getting sorted out. We decided to sell the Subaru but I need to ship my 1966 Porsche over here, its LHD and has no air con but she is a beauty. Can anyone recommend a shipper on the south coast, i.e Portsmouth or somewhere down there. I dont think I will have the same issues with a 1966 car as I would with a newer car, although I am sure there will be a whole host of other red tape and hoops to jump through. Any pointer on shipping a classic would be welcomed. Thanks Rob
  8. Hi, Can anyone help or know anyone in the above industry please? We are hoping to move to either NSW or SW (Adelaide area). 9. :biggrin:Hi, My partner (41 ) and I (46) would like to emigrate to Australia with our 2 kids. We obviously have a couple of issues a) my age and b) work in Oz. I've been a civil servant in the UK for the last 27 yrs which I can't imagine will account for anything but my partner is a Classic Car restorer and undertakes allsorts including rebuilding and restoring classic Ford cars and maintenance. He would like to do this in Oz but is there the business for it? We have yet to find out if I will be accepted under the criteria as my partner will be the main applicant. If anyone has any info / advice we would be glad to hear from you. Yvonne

  11. We are looking to come over around July next year and we can tell you we can not wait. We are a little worried about the job market and getting ourselves a job, but we will have to see how it goes. One of the many things we have to sort out is bringing our classic car over with us. Not a classic in many peoples eyes, but still a lot of money, time and love has gone into her so we do not want to leave her behind. Has anyone had any experience of getting an old car into the country and is it easy enough? We have asked this on another forum, but thought we would ask here to be sure and see if anyone know anything different. Cheers, Phil & Vikki:wink:

    A Classic Tale....

A married man left work early one Friday, but instead of going home, he spent the weekend partying with the boys. When he finally returned home on Sunday night, his wife really got on his case and stayed on it. After a few of hours of swearing and screaming, his wife paused and pointed at him and made him an offer. 'How would you like it if you didn't see me for a couple of days?'..... The husband couldn't believe his luck, so he looked up, smiled and said, 'That would suit me just fine!!' Monday went by, and the man didn't see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday went by and he still didn't see her. Come Thursday, the swelling went down a bit and he could see her just a little out of the corner of his left eye.
